It was awful. You are complaining about the wrong things though. It's a movie about magic and you thought the magic was what was wrong with it?

Now You See Me...
Movies like this are why I am in love with Netflix/Redbox. 5 years ago, I'd of picked it up on the day it came out, while on sale. Now, I can pay $1 to rent it to check it out. It was worth seeing once, but not something I'd want to own.

Well each to his own that's for sure. I can't think of a single entertaining thing in it and I don't think I'm being overly critical. I think every criticism I brought up is valid. I mean when she's floating around in a soap bubble in the theatre I wanted to bust out laughing at how bad that scene was. Flinging playing cards from the stage and slicing things way back in the audience like ninja darts? OMG Jeezuz. Uncuffing yourself from two chained table bound cuffs and instantly switching them and cuffing the investigator in the interrogation room? Yeah those things were entertaining in the sense I was laughing at how unbelievably awful those scenes were.

No it's a movie about Magicians and how they perform their slights of hand. The movie goes out of its way to explain time after time how they performed their illusions. like how picking the guy randomly out of the audience was all an elaborate set up.
Doing physically impossible things in real life situations like throwing playing cards dozens and dozens of feet for knife like results or "instantly" switching your dual chained shackles onto your interrogating cop aren't slights of hand.
They are impossible so they are true magic.
The movie can't have it both ways. Tell us it's all distraction and illusion and tricks then ask us to suspend belief cause sometimes it's really magic. WTF?
Anyway some of us will just have to agree to disagree on this dog. I've already spent too much time on it and now it's leaving an even worse taste in my mouth!

I had low expectations and this move still failed to perform.
It just was poorly done.
