I've seen countless commercials for this running during the NBA Finals. What are your thoughts on it? Was the first one any good, or is this yet another sequel to a movie that didn't need one? The cast looks halfway decent.

I enjoyed the first one as a "catch one evening on HBO" type of movie. I'll watch the second one in the same manner.

I just don't know how I missed the first one, or at least seeing trailers for it. Woody Harrelson, Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine, Isla Fisher, even Eisenberg was a bigger name at that point.

I don't think I've ever seen an unwanted sequel to a bad movie get so many threads before it's even released

I didn't like the first one. It's Ocean's 11 but with magicians. It was incredibly cheesy and acting felt forced at times.

I enjoyed it (the first one) it was a new idea and a overall a fun movie which didn't try and take itself too seriously.

you guys can hate the 1st one all you want, but I liked it and own the movie - and will see the 2nd one this weekend.

just got back from watching it - I like the 1st one and I must say the 2nd was better, to me anyway. lots of twists that at the and you really never saw coming.
