The most popular team ever was:

Wolverine
Jean
Cyclops
Storm
Colossus
Bobby
Beast
Nightcrawler
Gambit
Suped Up Rogue
Shadow Cat (Kitty)
Prof X

I think that's all of them. They formed "A" team and "B" led by Scott and Storm respectively if I remember correctly

In a Perfect World, Marvel Studios has the X-Men back and they are doing Joss Whedon's Astonishing X-Men with the team of
Scott,Logan,Emma,Hank,Colossus,Kitty Pride

directed by the writer himself, Joss Whedon

i dont think marvel needs the x-men property for the Astonish X-Men run to happen. its been sort of nice to have the x-men group separate from the main MCU. theres a lot of continuity and theme issues when trying to blend those two worlds.

the more Marvel handcuffs themselves with this continuity and make concessions on their movies to make them all work, im glad x-men can kind of do their own thing on the side with Fox.

eta: for example, does anyone truly believe Marvel/Disney would have EVER made that deadpool movie like fox did?

Does anyone believe that Fox would do it if left to their own devices and not incessantly badgered by both Ryan Reynolds and Tim Miller?

Fox set that movie up for failure. (Why do you think the opening credits said, "Produced by ASSHATS"?)

I doubt you'll find too many in opposition to this.

I would. She is a freak.

She's an average at best actress though. Don't know if she can carry this movie, but I'm damn sure Fassbender will make up for any short comings.

Speaking of short cummings, Olivia Munn is nice to look at

well, fox did it. so theres that. you make it sound like if an actor begs long enough, studios just cave in.

Produced by ASSHATS

you do know the producers had to sign off on that, right? the deadpool troubles were under an entirely different producing team for fox at the time. the new regime gave into reynolds and crew and let them do their thing. they have both thanked fox and their producers and praised them for their faith in the project.

fox has fricked up a lot (i.e. FF and x3), but give credit where credit is due.

One of my favorite lines in DOFP was when Charles looks into the future uture, sees X3, and then recoils in pain, screams out that he doesn't want that future, and then works the rest of the movie to successfully retcon it out of existence.

First Class and DOFP have been amazing. Magneto is one of my all time favorite comic villains and they have cast his actorsperfectly.

All of that said, I can never forgive what they have done to another of the all time greats: Dr. Doom. He could carry an entire movie himself pretty easily and we've got nothing but dogshit.

End rant

Kind of feel like this would be the perfect send off movie for Jackman.

I mean Wolverine doing the whole being torn apart and walking through it to save the world thing would work pretty well as a send off.

First Class and Days of Future Past were good but this one just reeks of studio interference by putting as much Jennifer Lawrence into it as possible when she is arguably the worst part of the last two films.

I'm still extremely pissed we never got to see Aronofsky's Wolverine… or Robocop… what could've been.
