Yeah the "time traveling" is stupid. The show would be soooo much better if we would have whole episodes of the groups traveling through the wilderness doing nothing...

The show was alright FWIW but it needs a bigger budget. I ended up watching all 6 episodes last weekend and it had me thinking "We need GoT S7 and The Last Kingdom S2 to premiere ASAP."

They must have had an extremely low budget. The show only films in 3 or 4 structures. Benton's house, Grant's house, and the ale house. The whole show feels like it was shot on some small piece of property.

There are ways that they could do it where it uses the same amount of screen time, and it wouldn't feel like the entire North American wilderness is supposed to be the size of city park and traveling from London to North America feels like a day trip to gulf shores. You have to be deliberately misrepresenting the point.

I'm stuck on episode 4. I love shows of this nature but this one is just missing the mark for me. I don't feel any of the characters have much soul. Also, Jason Mamoa is a terrible actor. (Even though he was born to play Khal Drogo) I appreciate the accuracy of a time period, but the yellow teeth were making me brush 3-4 times a day.

The yellow teeth are the best part. The protagonist is badly shoehorned into the storyline. Jason Mamoa's character is talked about like Genghis Khan but isn't really that compelling. Only good characters are Lord Benton and that weird American henchman.
