I'm still relatively new to NF. I do like it, but I am curious as to if I am seeing everything it has to offer.

I use NF on my XBox One, and this is a basic screenshot of what it looks like:

You see where it says "Because you watched OitNB" and "Because you watched Red Lights"? Those are basically lists that are on there. And you can scroll through those lists. Other examples of what those lists might say are things like "My List" (which is the same as my queue), "Romantic Comedies," "Sci-Fi/Horror," "Silly Comedies," "Suspenseful TV shows," etc.

Those lists usually only have about 30-40-ish things on them, and that's it. And the lists change fairly frequently (best as I can tell). So my question is this...is there a place I can go to basically look through all NF has to offer? Like can I look at a list of ALL of their horror movies, for example? Or all of their TV shows?

As it stands now, in my limited knowledge of how NF works, I can only see limited numbers of whatever they put in those lists, or I can search for things specifically (like if I wanted to find a certain show or movie, for example). So do they have a place where I can view things in their entirety? Surely NF has to have more than it's currently showing me.

Any help is appreciated.

You aren't. If it's not on the list you either need to do a search for it (Triangle button on PS3, no clue on XBox) or find it on their web site to add it to the queue. And the lists will change over time based on what you watch. They really need to add the ability to add lists or view all genres.

There's an app for the instantwatcher.com website that might be useful for finding shows to search for on NF XBox.

I find its easier to browse/search for stuff on my computer, than add stuff I want to watch to my list

I have wondered the same thing you have. I use the search function if something comes to mind, but that's about it. For instance, we wanted to watch a Harry Potter with the kids the other night and searched (it's not there if anyone cares).

It helps that the wife and I are still working our way through shows and know exactly what we will be watching coming up.

I guess this is basically my question.

So there is no feature that allows you to do that? That fricking sucks. There are times when I just scroll through shite to add to my list, but it'd be nice to be able to access all (or most) of a genre so I don't have to keep doing that.

Yeah, same here. But I find that lots of things I want to watch/search for aren't there on NF, so that kinda sucks (although it's not a huge deal).

Did you really think HP was in Netflix

We would never get a break from Netflix blasting that in our face if so.

Ummm, yeah. I always assumed they had most all movies. Am I wrong for that?

You and I are in the same boat. I'm thinking that I should be able to find most "popular" movies on there. But I am thinking it's more of a Napster thing, where not all people (directors/studios/etc.) want their shite practically "free" to the public, and thus they refuse deals with NF.

But I agree with you that I often times find myself thinking something would easily be on NF, only to have it not there at all.

Yes, their movie selection isn't that great to be honest. TV shows is top notch.

I doubt Netflix has the money to get HP while keeping on to some of their high profile TV shows. Also, I'm not sure but the contract ABC family has with HP may be exclusive.

Here is my history/knowledge of Netflix:

Buddy had it 5-10 years ago and had a DVD mailed to him. I was under the impression it was whatever he wanted to see, even new(er) releases.

House of Cards and OitNB were shows the wife and I started watching. Got first two seasons of HoC for Christmas, watched Season 1 of Orange on DVD. Got a smart tv not too long ago and got Netflix, mainly for their original content.

I guess I always assumed I could get what I want on there. Well, almost anything I wanted.

But only certain shows though. I've tried to find several on there with no luck (though they do have others that I want to watch).

Just curious but which shows were you searching for that weren't HBO or South Park?

They have way more popular shows than they have popular movies. The ratio isnt close either. That's the point.

They don't have a search option in that manner it seems. Has been a complaint of mine for a while on xb.

SP was one.

Happy Endings was another one. And I think there was one more but I don't remember what that was.
