I'm staring at a ten plus hour drive home for the holidays, and I could use some podcast or audiobook suggestions. I already listen to most of the Bill Simmons related podcasts, Serial and several other sports related pods, but I'd appreciate any suggestions.

Check out a lot of Carolla One Studios productions. Take a Knee, the Adam Carolla Podcast, and the one he does with Dr. Drew are all pretty good.

Also, check out Audible. You can sign up, get a free book, then cancel your membership. They have some really good audiobooks on there.

Great list. I would also add Gimlet Media's line of podcasts:
StartUp - Follows a business from inception to fruitiion (or failure).
Reply All - A show about the Internet and all of its uniqueness / weirdness.
Mystery Show - A mystery is presented at the beginning of the show and the host attempts to solve it.

You Made it Weird with Pete Homes is pretty good if the guest is someone you're interested in learning about. It usually goes really long and he gets the guests talking about all kinds of stuff. He's funny as well.

I don't particularly like Chris Hardwick, but I can listen to his podcast too if the guest is good.

Undisclosed is decent...it's the follow up to Serial. Also, Serial Season 2 is out now. And I usually listen to the Russillo and Kanell podcast.

i'd listen to the WWI or Wrath of the Khans first since they are both free. I like his stuff a lot.

Been traveling a lot more lately so I have crushed through almost all of them

i can give you some of my favs

JRE #651 with c9n0thing
JRE #519 and/or 681 with Gad Saad
JRE #694 with Jane McGonigal
JRE #657 with Corey Knowlton

I really enjoyed this and am enjoying his Wrath of Khans as well. I didn't like "Kings of Kings" nearly as much. He rambles a lot and it's very disjointed.

I agree. It all came together at the end (I think), but I had no idea wtf he was talking about in the beginning.
