33in/30oz Pre-BBcor Baseball bat with bayonet. The bayonet tip for poking them through fences etc.
I think the sword sucks having to worry about it getting stuck in a body.

This is one of my absolute biggest pet peves about the show. Why the frick after years of living in the zombie land would you still not be wearing armor?
Zombies as far as the show has been don't have elevated strength or fangs. Cover your body in something human teeth can't bite through and you'd literally never have a problem. It's infuriatingly stupid.

Suppressed .22 rifle, Glock 17, Ka-Bar knife.

Yup. Hatchets are supremely versatile. The other stuff would be tough to find or build. I'd always carry a hatchet or two and don't know why they aren't featured more often.

I'd use the power of positivity

If everyone on the show wore basic light chain mail and carried a hatchet basically no one would ever die.

Primary would be something with reach. Sword, spear, mace, etc. Backup would be a hatchet. Strictly for up close work. I'd prefer a silenced 22 with a drum magazine, a decent scope, and high ground if you're dealing with a herd of them.

Seriously, they had riot gear during the prison episodes that worked great. But nah, let's not use that anymore. It's too hot.

Give me a full coat of mail, helmet, gauntlets, armored boots a a shield and longsword and I'd be unstoppable.
As a weapon, I think the .223 was made for zombie killing. With a good enough suppressor, I don't think it would be much louder than a lot of blade weapons, as far as the overall commotion of zombie killing goes.
Too bad this thread will be deleted long before this argument is settled. They had a big, marathon zombie thread like 10 years ago so the admins consider it a finished topic. Even on different boards.

Katana is pretty close to perfect if you know how to use it.
You need something that won't stick in the zombie after you hit it.

Sword for non-firearm
Suppressed ruger 10/22 would be my go to zombie gun
Something full auto scrounged for living threats.

Heavy armor like that would be heavy, and clumsy. It may be loud, and someone has to know how to make it.
They should be wearing long sleeves wrapped in a few layers of duct tape. It makes armor that is light weight, pliable, easy to make, and probably easy to find the components.
My weapon of choice would be a spear.

Yeah all you'd need is lightweight chain mail and the worst thing that would happen is heavy bruising from being bitten

quote:The only way you could realistically get your hands on a mail (maille) suit would be to ransack an oceanographic science building for a shark suit. The benefit, though, is that they are made of lighter alloys and aren't as heavy or clumsy. However, you'd have to know exactly where to find one, which would be unlikely.

Again, heavy leather would serve the same purpose, and is more easily attainable.

The swap body armor that they had seems to work pretty well. Or you could just be Glenn. Apparently he's invincible to zombies.

Maybe I'm not remembering correctly, but didn't Glenn get caught and the riot gear taken from him at some point?
