Wargames.

Yes the tech is dated. But the story completely holds up, especially if you consider the time the movie was made. The great shadow of Nuclear War with the unknown animosity of computer tech.

Don't forget Purple Rose of Cairo and Crimes and Misdemeanors.

The great movies from the '80s hold up, but it is hard to appreciate why some of the star vehicles were as popular as they were, like Beverly Hills Cop or Three Men and a Baby.

Yeah I tried watching Neverending Story last year and...no. I turned it off after 15 minutes. I'd rather just leave it in my memory as being awesome.
