Could you imagine the reaction to a film having a transgender serial killer.

Levine said his character wasn't gay. Gays were upset nonetheless. Underrated performance btw.

I think most of these movies (except Blazing Saddles) could still be made today. Hollywood film producers aren't nearly as PC as this thread implies.

Blazing saddles may not be PC but it's not mean spirited. The butt of the jokes are the white people

Sixteen Candles.

Long Duc Dong would not fly. Nor would giving a blacked out and passed out prom queen away to be fricked by a nerd.

That one is safe. The punch line falls under the right group to still be a joke rather than an insult.

Come on man. I don't know all of the terms for what people identify as, but I did learn from the OT that some transgender folks aren't gay.

Well they'd be made but changed. I never saw it but I bet the Bad News Bears remake didn't have Tanner Boyle dropping N-bombs.

And it would actually be "Pretty Baby" (which was filmed in New Orleans). Blue Lagoon they taped Brooke's long hair down to keep her covered and "unexposed" after the backlash from Pretty Baby content of not only naked 12 year old but the auctioning off of her virginity and behind closed door audio of her consummation with the auction winner while being raised in a cathouse.

Pretty Baby (uncut/unedited) is now listed as child porn and legally unavailable in the USA. Wiki LINK. Paul Reubens (Pee Wee Herman) had a copy in his porn collection and nearly went to jail for it.
