Which one has been (and/or will next be) done the best by hollywood?
My personal answers:
My "HAS BEEN DONE THE BEST BY HOLLYWOOD" vote goes to Spawn. And he was Image's 1st big screen Black comic book character?
My "WILL NEXT BE DONE THE BEST BY HOLLYWOOD" vote goes to Deadshot from Suicide Squad. And he will be DC's 1st big screen Black comic book character?

Spawn. He was a family man and a military man. Afterward I would say Sam Wilson. He's the normal cool that rose from the bottom type of person. He's the foot soldiers.
Black Panther does not count because he's African in origin, and the role model that they are looking for is heroes for Black AMerican kids.
Luke Cage might be the next one, he nailed Jessica Jones.
I wouldn't count Blade since he's half Vampire and thus not really a role model.

You could argue that Blade was part of the genesis of Comic Book films, so that would be my first answer.
However, Luke Cage was flat out awesome in JJ and I'm pumped for his show.
Then Black Panther was pretty much perfectly done.
I was hoping we could add John Stewart to this list, but nooooooooo. Or does J'onn count??

Ever heard the saying, Never touch a classic?
They had to touch a classic.
They should have left Blade as one great movie. The reason I won't say Blade is because 2 and 3 were done, and they take Blade out of the equation.
Spawn is JUST ONE DEEP in, and great in my opinion! J.W. killed that role without Hollywood going the movie series route with it!

Your opinion, like your opinions as mizzoukills, is fricking terrible. Spawn was a train wreck and Michael Jai White was a shitty Spawn.
The answer is Blade. But who gives a damn?

The first Blade was a monumental movie for me personally. It made the trench coat cool before The Matrix. It was one of those movies that blew me away as a kid.
The first time I saw it, my friend and I tried to buy tickets and the girl at the counter said she couldn't sell them to us because it was rated R. We then asked for tickets to Spy Hard with Leslie Nielsen . When we got our tickets, we looked down and saw that they were tickets to Blade. Over the next month, we went back and saw it like 5 times by sneaking in. It was an awesome movie for it's time and perfectly cast.

I'd like to see a Miles Morales done right.

Leading or stand alone comic book characters work great historically than supportive ones. I would at least think.

After seeing Chadwick Boseman in Civil War the answer is undoubtedly T'Challa. What a pleasure to see him so well realized on film. Looking so forward to his solo movie.
