This is one those years where I wish they would retroactively give a movie from the past an Oscar. Like Shawshank or Saving Private Ryan. It's a shame that Moonlight has a trophy while some truly great movies don't.
Of course if we had that award, no doubt it would turn political as well.

It's funny that so many are against seeing the film because of the gay main character... when that gay character is possibly the least "gay" homosexual portrayals on film.
