Saw this movie today. Seriously, a great movie. Very funny but touching as well. It is an indie film so only at about 30% of theatres. Don't want to spoil it but there is a synopsis on Fandango.

If anyone else has seen it would like to hear your thoughts.

Have a great day..

I liked it. It hit you in your feelings like a sack of bricks.

ETA: I recommend it.

Trailer looks great. The dying girl is Emma from Bates Motel, who is also sick. Talk about being typecast.

Saw it playing in my local theater and wondered if I should check it out.

Saw it and thought it was great. Casted really well. Almost didn't recognize Connie Britton at first.

What are people's thoughts on Jon Bernthal as the teacher? I couldn't figure out why they gave him all the tattoos unless it was 1. how he was written in the book and/or 2. to show that he was a "cool" teacher.

The characters all bordered on being cartoonish stereotypes (not that it didn't work). The sociology professor that walks around in native garb eating exotic foods, the wine drinking mom who's too cozy with her daughter's friends, the rapping white wannabee, the uber-goth, and the teacher who is cool beyond belief.

Yup. You nailed it. The story was so aware of itself. I absolutely loved it.

Mild spoilers:

I was a little bit skeptical toward the end. I had enjoyed the story, and I liked that I couldn't really predict any individual scenes. The story was kind of all over the place. Then the last part was perfect. It came together so beautifully. Tears rolled right down my face when he started reading the letter. The walk around the room got me prepared without me even realizing it. It had me thinking about how perfectly set up this seemingly chaotic movie was.

Saw this on a flight yesterday and dear lord, I wish someone had forewarned me to not watch in public!

Absolutely loved it, but I was struggling hard to hold back the tears for a good ten minutes near the end. I can't remember ever seeing a movie that played on my emotions like this one.

Lots of feels from that movie. The young cast was perfect and Thomas Mann(Greg) should win something for his role.

Just finished this after the thread bump reminded me I meant to watch it awhile ago.

Very very good movie. Loved it.

The end is so well done. It really is phenomenal.
