100% agree.

There isn't much room for a sequel, as they combined several of the novels to write this story.

Well, between this and no one talking about it at all I must say that no one really talking about it is certainly the lesser of two weevils.

The Bounty with Mel Gibson and Anthony Hopkins is a much better movie. Regardless, I do like Master and Commander.

It's the only movie I walked out on in the theater. Ever.

"I have shite taste." Could have saved yourself some keystrokes there.

Maybe. But I was younger and dumber and bored out of my mind when I was watching it. I am not opposed to giving it another look.

For me it was the erotic thriller "In the Cut" Meg Ryan gets nekkid, a lot, and this was back before she started looking like the Green Goblin. It was at the cheap theater so sure why not?

Sadly it was also shot with a shaky cam that made the Blair Witch Project look stable. After a half hour I had motion sickness so bad I had to walk (stagger) out.

Wanted. When they got to the part about the Loom of Fate, I said "frick this. I'm out."

Some amazing scenes, Oscars for Cinemtography & Sound Editing. Didn't need to lean on CGI for visuals. Here's the WIKI on Crowe's ship.

See, that's weird to me. I thought Wanted was entertaining.

When looking at the script, the acting, the background music, the photography, it was a damned good movie.

One of my favorite movies. I like to watch it in the winter time, snuggled up on the couch with a fuzzy blanket and a cup of cocoa.

Have any of y'all read the books?

Yes, all of them. And I've also listened to them all an audio several times. I really enjoy them, technical detail and all.

And the movie was excellent. Very true to the books and also a very accurate depiction of what life on board a British naval vessel was like.

People would rather watch a Johnny Depp cartoon version.
