Marvel’s ‘Inhumans’ Removed From Disney’s Release Schedule
quote:

Disney has removed Marvel’s “Inhumans” from its release schedule, waiting until late Friday night on Passover weekend to do so. In October 2014, Marvel’s Kevin Feige announced that “Inhumans” had been slated for release on Nov. 2, 2018. Then, in February 2015, the release was pushed back to July 12, 2019, with “Captain Marvel” taking over the old date.

Now, however, the film has officially been removed from Disney’s release calendar. The studio did not announce a new date, and it remains to be seen whether the film will move forward. Stay tuned

Once the Inhuman storyline became such a central part of Agents of Shield, the gymnastics required in order to ensure continuity between the TV and Movie parts probably became too much.

This way also you don't have to have big budget stars playing Black Bolt, Medusa, Karnak, Gorgon, Triton, and Maximus...you can write them in to Agents of Shield or even make a Starz series.

Feige is dicking over Perlmutter and Marvel Entertainment since he no longer has to answer to them. Marvel was priming the Inhumans to replace the X-Men as the new mutant race of the comics. And the TV series was getting them in the public eye to promote the comics and the Inhumans movie. Now that Feige works directly for Disney he's not obligated to help Marvel Comics or Marvel TV.

Marvel split up movie and tv into separate departments because the heads of each of those hated each other and didn't want to work together. They'll let Agents of Shield do the Inhumans storyline now.

Inhumans movie isn't really necessary. Marvel missed a golden opportunity to really bring AoS to the forefront by not putting Daisy's Secret Warriors team in the role that the New Avengers team has in Civil War. That would have been a perfect time to cross them over and really make the show matter in the grand scheme of things, but naw.

You do realize that it was a group of still amateur superheroes that kicked off the story of Civil War in the comic right? It would have made sense from a creative and a business standpoint.

I really think Black Bolt and Medusa would be hard to cast and the powers involved, while used extremely well by deft writers, aren't all that exciting, except Black Bolt's. I could see why they dropped this

I don't think it's over yet for The Inhumans...just think Phase 4 has something bigger on the horizon, like the Fantastic Four...who discovered The Inhumans

We're forgetting the best character by far in the Inhumans storyline.

Black Bolt's whispers blow up buildings. The guy is a top 5 powerhouse in Marvel. Yeah his powers can translate just fine.

Imagine the PR love fest for the first comic book movie lead to use sign language (I know in the comics Medusa speaks for him, but mainstream would eat it up if he used sign language)

Feige keeps saying how different Phase 4 will be and they will explore new ground.

You have to scour through the IPs and territories on the map that Marvel Studios can explore.

I'd like to think he's working on F4 centered piece phase-since Fox and Marvel are producing the FX shows for the first time ever...
