A friend and I went to see MOS last night. It was really good but not great. Lois, although hot, was not very compelling. Superman was legit. They did a GREAT job casting him. I loved the two fathers and their back story. Zod was hit and miss for me. I like the regal, aristocratic Zod more than the UFC Zod, but I still enjoyed the character, only not as much as the original.

All in all, my biggest complaint is that it felt rushed at times. It could have 30 minutes longer to allow certain characters...Lois...to develop.

The end was just boring. It was the same fight sequences over and over. I nodded off at one point because I didn't really care about any of the characters. Only parts I really liked were the Kostner scenes.

Honestly, Shannon didn't do a great job as Zod. It was ok, but the flaws were obvious because he followed up this guy:

I really liked the movie the more I think about it other than the fact Nolan couldn't edit his way out of a wet paper bag again...

But in all honesty, this movie should have been split into two movies as it basically followed the arc of Smallville.

If you want to give us Clark Kent, then the first movie should have ended with Clark accepting the symbol and cape as Superman.

The sequel could have been Zod. :DonnerAgrees:

You would be doing yourself a great disservice by allowing paid professionals to dampen your excitement. The audience reaction is at 82% percent positive. I thought it was a fantastic film.

100% agree

This was really a no-win situation for Snyder

But he made a fantastic film
