The DA has 90 days to retry him. If they don't, he'll be released.

Really odd situation. After the show I felt like at the very least he had knowledge of what happened and may have played some part. I don't think there was anyway he should have been convicted based on everything that went on though.

Good news. LSU fans need to start making their MaM themed signs for College Gameday in Green Bay.

Wonder if it would have ever happened if it wasn't for the HBO series.

I can guarantee HBO didn't help one bit.

Says his atty filed this in 2014 (i.e. before the show aired.) It's hard to say if the judge was impacted by popular pressure or not. I certainly believe in the case of Serial that the judge was affected by the podcast.

I think he's saying the Robery Durst series (way better than MaM), caused Netflix to create this series which means they had an indirect hand in this happening

Yea, I have mixed feelings about it. I do not feel like he was represented correctly but I do believe he helped kill her.

It just shows some the serious defects in are criminal justice system. The DA convicted Avery on the theory that Avery shot the victim in the head and the same DA convicted Dassey on the theory that Dassey and Avery raped, stabbed, and strangled the victim.
