Has there ever been a season where something major happened in every episode?

Sally is the one woman/girl you do not want to mess with in this show

Absolutely. While I don't think it ever truly bothered him that it fricked up his marriage(s), his kids knowing about his whoring around is a totally different story. And Sally's always been a "Daddy's Girl" (lord knows she hates her mother ).

This is going to get very, very ugly.

ETA: And dammit Bob. Lost another one to the dark side. frick.

I don't think Bob is gay. It's a cover move for something else. At least that is what I'm hoping.

Sally has don in her hands. He's been neglecting his own kids for a while, shows up to help get the Rosen kid out of a jam, only to get himself in a bigger one with his kids. Complete frick up.

Teddy also owns Don. Let two episodes should be great.

Goodness gracious Don is a hot mess. I think this will end badly. Sally only be able to hold what she saw in for so long.

This episode was heartbreaking. Poor Sally.

Just as I thought Don was doing something out of total kindness (doing it completely for the kid because of Don's own experiences in Korea) we realize, no of course not, he can't be that compassionate. He has to have an ulterior motive and take advantage of the opportunity. Must be why he is so great as an ad man.

It will be interesting to see where this situation takes the series. Don has always been in control even at his lowest moments, but the look on his face at the end screamed "I am totally fricked this time." Sally was one of the last people in the world that wasn't aware of how much he really sucks.

If that is the end of the Bob Benson mystique that will be disappointing. I thought the scene with him showing his hand was a bit forced. That scene might have felt disingenuous on purpose though. He could still be a complete opportunist and thought Pete was giving signals. It is time for us to get a real look at Benson though and show him out of the office.

Oh, and Kiernan Shipka is amazing. She owns every scene she appears in.

Also, does anyone think Megan could be cheating on Don as well? The way she answered the question from Sally's friend about the agent was a little suspicious I thought. At the least, she might be up to something.

Yep it's official, I hate Don Draper. Him getting caught wasn't the worst part, it was how he handled it afterwards with Sally that had me pissed.

It's kinda awesome how close Stan and Peggy have become, still remember the episode where they were forced to work together for a weekend and hated each other.

And her exchange with Pete was real interesting.

If Sally played her cards right, she could be the only 13 year old in the tri-state area with her own Chevy.

My thoughts
1. No way bob benson is gay. He is trolling us.
2. I thought Don had already hit rock bottom, nope, now he has.
3. Hopefully this is finally the end of the Sylvia storyline, she sucks.
4. Sally's friend is a little slut.
5. Ted is a little bitch.
6. Show needs more Harry Crane.

I'll be honest, this Sally-Don thing seems like the biggest bomb drop of the show so far.

I don't know why him being caught by his kids caught me so off guard. But I truly think that might be his biggest frick-up (worse even than Betty finding his box) to date.

Sylvia is fricking awful and I hate Don when he's with her. The "I pray for you'' moment may be the all time low for the show for me.

I don't understand how you could think this.

My thoughts on this episode
1.I still don't know what to say about Bob Benson
2.Ted might be my favorite person from this season of Mad Men. I've gained a ton of respect for him since he's finally started to throw some blows back at Don and stop acting like a doormat.
3.Don has become sloppy & pathetic with his home & career life. Get it together bro.

Awkward...

Really? It seems to me like Ted is a huge baby that throws tantrums like a child.

Bob is a figurative character much like a Cormac McCarthy character. He represents the inner thoughts and feelings and needs of the characters around him. A foil of some sorts.

For example, take his relationship with Joan. She just lost her husband because he cared more about the military and pride than his own family. She got a promotion to partner because she was persuaded to sleep with a grotesque client and then the men at the office disrespect her as a partner because she's a woman.

Here's comes Bob Benson. He's exactly what Joan needs. A male figure who cares about her and her child and is good with her mother and makes her feel good about herself without focusing solely on sex. It seems like he doesn't focus on sex at all.

When Benson entertains the clients for Ted and Cutler, he's exactly what they need - a young guy with their sole interests at heart and not someone playing games between the partners. We misconstrued his celebratory dance as a selfish pat on the back for getting more responsibility, but in reality, he was just displaying - and notice it was right in their faces - his belief in the Cutler and Ted way of doing things.

However, there is a yin and yang effect with Bob. Jim Cutler. Cutler is ruthless. He wants complete control of the company. He wants to fire all of Sterling Cooper's people. He cares about no one else's feelings, and in fact, shows gratification at the sight of Gleason's daughter riding Stan in the office. Hence him yelling at Bob to go back upstairs.

So what does this mean? I guess it means Pete is gay and Bob knew it was what Pete needed to express.
