Yes and no. Don Draper already killed himself, I believe we just witnessed it when he left the meeting to find the waitress; the flesh and bones that Don occupied is heading out West to be reborn as someone else.

Awesome episode, feels liked they really focused on the female characters and being independent.

Loved Ted's reaction to Don leaving the meeting
The Peggy and Roger scene was great
Peggy with the "Deal with it" entrance
Don using the card that guy gave him to assume a false identity
The ticking clock while Don is sitting and waiting

--I think the scene with Don and the loose window pane is a bit of a tease from Weiner.

--Betty is moving on.

--Box lunches? At such an important meeting? Way too impersonal for Don. But why did he bring his with him?

--Peggy is a boss. She will wreck shop at McCann. She had the best entrance of the entire run of the show.

Maybe going back to the West Coast to resume life as Dick Whitman, be with Stephanie and help raise her child?

on a side note - I guess I never really grasped that Roger doesn't really care for Harry Crane.

It's not just Roger. I don't think anybody likes Harry.

Although, as I recall, we were late into the first season/early into the second before Roger even knew who Harry was.

Sadly from the way things are run at McCann, Peggy probably won't have that smile on her face for very long.

Yep, she forgot who she is/was and why she was in the position she was in. I hope that's the last we see of her.

Don feeling old when guy in Miller presentation making pitch just like Don would have.

Seems like last few episodes the way they are wrapping it up a little forced. Seems like many of these stories need to be finished over several more episodes but I guess that isn't going to happen.

Thank you for this post. I was surprised to actually find myself pulling for Joan at some point last night. How could I have forgotten what a hypocritical whore she is

Yeah, looking at her resume, you'd have to assume that something off of the books happened to bump her up from office manager to partner.

Don isn't special at this place. He's just another pitch man. They brought him in as another feather for their cap and to get rid of the competition. They just want him content and out of trouble at this point.

The box lunches killed me. It was the ultimate, "Welcome to being just another schmo" moment.

While I'll never agree with the harassment, it was always annoying as hell how uppity she'd get after men's advancements towards her in the office. Thinking....are you serious? They basically passed her around at SC but now she's too good for that after basically forcing herself onto everyone as a partner? Ok

Great episode all around. The Peggy and Roger exchange was awesome and Peggy on roller skates.

Also Ted reaction to Don leaving the meeting was great.

Ted smiled. But I couldn't figure out whether he was happy to just see Don gone, or whether he liked and recognized that Don wouldn't want to deal with working like that.

I wasn't a Ted fan, but I'm enjoying the new, "I don't give a shite" Ted.

The president of McCann might be the best casting of the entire show. That guy just oozes grandfatherly evil.

Something interesting here is the fact that our playboys of SCP have now become part of the working class.

Boxed lunches?

I mean, it doesn't matter how much money they pay you. Once you go from "I've had too much to drink, so I'm going to take a three day lunch to get some rest and frick a few OT 10s" to "Where the hell is Don? Make sure he gets back to work pronto and reports to me," it's kind of hard to find the joy in working.
