My money is on Diana the waitress killing him, maybe in a murder/suicide thing. Weiner has been foreshadowing something tragic this whole second half, and he didn't bring Diana into the picture just to get nailed by Don and then vanish.

Other than the heavy handed "Don, your life sucks" moments, I have no idea what direction this show is going. It's almost like it's going to end as a show that was always and only about people going to work.

I mean, at this point if Don commits suicide, would anyone but Peggy even notice?

Exactly. All of the characters seemed together at the break. Now, they couldn't be further apart. It feels like they couldn't get them all on the set most days, so they just shot random shite.

That is Bruce Greenwood and one of my favorite actors. He is Kirk's mentor and captain in the Star Trek reboot as well as the president in the National Treasure movies. He also voices Batman on the most popular Batman cartoon series.

The last 2 seasons were probably my favorite, or rather last 1.5 seasons. But they seemed to be building up to something. This show has always seemed to give us some progress, first with Don rising to partner, then they were taken over, then they left to start their own firm, then they struggled to survive as a company, then they merged with a major competitor, then Don was suspended, then Don had to fight and claw his way back to where he was, snatching victory from the jaws of defeat, then they were acquired by a larger company.

So now Don is a partner with no fear of getting fired and the company is a subsidiary of a giant parent with no fear of going under. All of the conflict is gone. Now they are just treading water and we are all trying to figure out where in the hell this show is leading to for the conclusion. Every past season seemed to build up to something. Maybe it will be obvious in hindsight, but each episode this season seems very disjointed with no cohesive plot line.

This mini season is going nowhere. All characters are spinning their tires in the mud, wallowing in pathetic self pity. shite needs to come together fast.

Perfectly put. I'm hoping that somehow this half season seems brilliant on the rewatch. But like I have said earlier, I remember when I kept hoping that LOST was going to make sense, and the finale was a giant letdown for me. They didn't care about being sloppy. So much of that show had no purpose. I fear that will be the case with this final half season. It might even have a beautiful ending, but I have a hard time beliieving any of these episodes were much watch.

I read somewhere that Weiner said every episode of this last half season would feel like a finale. L.O.L. Talk about some bullshite.

Wow, how pretentious. It is made infinitely more so by the fact it was so very, very wrong. Each episode so far this season is wandering and pointless. I never can figure out what exactly was accomplished.

Funny you mention Lost. Iirc, Weiner specifically said this won't be a Lost finale. There's no big mystery to be solved.

I think we're just going to see what point these characters are at in their lives marked from the beginning of the series. So any episode could, in theory, work as the last.

What the hell is even going on here?

Dons condo sale is a big deal, okay?
Joan falls in love with an LA guy after 2 lays?
Glens makes a move on Betty (best scene of night)
Sally & Betty all over the episode torturing us

Roger 1 min cameo, Pete 1 min cameo, Ken & Harry nowhere???

Only glimmer of moving forward was Don asking Peggy and Ted about their future ambitions / dreams. Obviously, Dons dream isn't in advertising like a Ted or Peggy. Dons at his twilight in this business but he has no next move or anyone to share it with. Btw Don is a shite father to little Bobby and his other son.

I have not been a fan of this season at all, but I thought the last scene with Don getting kicked out of his apartment and the realtor saying they need to find somewhere for Don was great. It's 1970 and Don really has no place in the new world. It's pretty obvious he's as much uncomfortable with 1970 as he was comfortable with existing in the early 60's. He's alone in every aspect of his life. I have no idea where this is headed though. I do think Don or Megan will die on Air Canada Flight 621.

That would be fine if this show didn't have so many great finales before it. I would have rather ended on either of the last two episodes of 7a than this shite.

If they kill Don off in a plane crash or Meagan then Weiner was screwing AMC over for splitting the final series which he could very well be doing now.

The mid-season finale at the end of last year with Burt singing really should have been the series finale. Obviously, they had no where to take the show after that.

Well this episode was the best of the season, but that isn't saying much. Still a below average Mad Men episode in the grand scheme of the series. This season has ZERO direction or overall conflict to it. Very disappointed with Weiner.

I will say that the Don moving to California theory looks like it may be in the cards.

I have just been really confused why they can't have every awesome character in every episode. Is it so hard to have Don, Peggy, Joan, Roger, Stan, Pete, and Cosgrove all share multiple scenes together? frick you, Weiner!

I mean this in all sincerity: what do you people want? A shoot out followed by a car chase? Another fist fight or hanging?

You've all (I assume) watched the slow play for years now but NOW THAT THERES 4 EPISODES LEFT THINGS AREN'T HAPPENING FAST ENOUGH FOR ME AND I'M TYPING FURIOUSLY TO SHOW MY DISPLEASURE.

Spoiler alert: Don isn't going to jump off the roof and the Member's Only jacket guy doesn't have a piece stashed in the bathroom

"I can't believe this. It's such a disappointment."
