So I see this is on Netflix watch instantly now. Should I start watching it? I know a lot of you on the board like it, I am just wondering will I get to season 4, or around there, and just say this is completely assanine, or does it get better each season?

I enjoy Lost, it's probably one of the best TV shows to hit the ground running. It was that good right from the beginning IMO. It seemed to lose some continuity after a few seasons, but I thought that was corrected this past season.
Lost and Dexter are probably my two favorite TV shows at the moment.

If you like good TV, you will thoroughly enjoy LOST. And it does get better with every season.

seasons 1-3 were great, 4 took a hit, but this past one (5) was excellent. i definitely recommend this show, but you have to start from the beginning

A few things are going to make you think Wtf...but its the best show on TV. Good timing btw you will be able to watch all 5 seasons in time to watch Season 6 as it comes out each week.

I agree...3 was by far the worst IMO. It's been pretty awesome since the season 3 finale.

That also is incorrect. 3rd is the second best. People take the miniseason way to seriously. From Not in Portland onward (where Sawyer and Kate escape Hydra Island), the season was great, and it got even better once it got to "The Brig" (when Sawyer kills the real Sawyer) those may be the 5 strongest episodes in a row (8 if you want to take it into Season 4).
And 2nd is easily the worst season. The first 6 episodes of season 2 are worse than the first 6 episodes of season 3.

Season 3 is just really negative in my memory because of all of the bullshite advertising that went along w/ that season. That was the season of "3 huge secrets revealed" episodes...when they would really just give us 1 secret that was obvious. But yeah it did pick up. The damn bear cages shite just dragged so much. Season 3 was also the 1st season I watched live and not on DVD, which probably made it seem slower than it was. The first 6 of season 2 were really slow also, but I watched those all in like 1 or 2 days so it didn't bother me.

Yeah, "3 of the biggest mysteries on the show will be revealed" bullshite really pissed me off too. I also can only name like 1 mystery that was solved in that episode. And we were in the same boat on that. Its just from that episode forward, the season was pretty fricking amazing.

I love this show, can't wait for Season 6 to come out. But on the discussion of which season was the weakest, that was Season 2 for me.
