Uncle Stu and OMLandshark can you post a link to an over all awesome arse theory like youve done before. i dont feel like searching threw all this babble to find all of them and you guys tend to have the best explainations.ive been out for a few days.
Most of the comprehensive theories are FOS for the most part FWIW.

Agree. All-encompassing theories are usually way too complex and they are proven wrong if one slight piece of information is off.

Which one? It would probably take me longer to find one than for me just to type it here.

I paused it and watched in slo-mo.....it kinda looks like it says RA but it really isn't discernible. If I remember correctly the A is much more clear than the R is.

It's really one of those things where you'll likely see what you are wanting to see, so who the hell really knows what was written there
All I know is this Richard centric episode is gonna be amazing.

Well I don't think its as simple as Widmore and the Monster being on opposing sides. Widmore really wanted Locke to go back to the Island, and he knew that Locke wasn't Locke. Widmore also didn't talk much in the exchange. I still think that Widmore and the Monster are on the same side and they were just conning Sawyer. However, I don't think Widmore trusts the Monster hence the pylons. Also the pylons could be used to capture Smokie rather than keeping him at bay.

Just because it is used to summon it doesn't mean it is it's weakness. Kinda like saying a phone call would be someone's weakness.

quote:After Ben summoned him though, the next thing you see is the black smoke coming from the woods with the mercenaries running from the woods. Then when Ben summoned him the second time to be judged, he drained the pool of water, he said "I'll be waiting outside" and FLocke came out of the woods." Granted FLocke had been with him at that point. But there isn't any evidence that the smoke came from the drain that I can remember.
The general consensus has been that draining the water allowed smokey to enter the compound through the drain, because he couldn't get through the fences.

the only side Charles is on is Widmore's

this is the second time I've seen this, and it's a great theory - what a great twist

It'll look like ghostbusters.

At that point, Locke was Locke, right?

People keep saying this like it is a twist, but when I saw the pylons and the area they covered, I assumed this was a trap for MIB. To me, it would be a twist if they were not a trap for capturing MIB.

While Ben may have been lying, he does say that Abaddon was going to kill Locke after he got in contact with all of the Oceanic Six, most likely for the same reasons Locke was going to kill himself and Ben killed Locke, but also he knew what would happen if Locke's body returned to the Island.

Sawyer said that we both know that the Locke he is talking about isn't the real John Locke.

Yeah, but if the Monster has something to offer Widmore that he greatly desires, like the Island or immortality, then they would roughly be on the same side.

yeah.....for whatever reason, I cant buy into the notion that there was this big conspiracy to get Locke to (a) leave the island, and then (b) return his lifeless body to the island so MIB can have a vessel
on that note, I just realized my previous post is horseshite- when Ajira landed on Hydra, unLocke had already manifested himself and crossed over to the main island on a boat
frick, I dont know now....maybe he did know Widmore was there. I really need a hotline to call and answer questions

The "Realm of the Island" extends far past the Island's physical borders. The Freighter was said to be right on the border of the barrier for most of the season, which I think was 18 miles off shore. Anything within the barrier I think the Monster is fairly potent and can do just about anything within it. Hydra Island is certainly within the Island's boundaries.

with that being the case, I wonder why Dharma never bothered to build a sonic fence around the Hydra station? Surely if MIB was a threat, they would have

I don't think DHARMA knew as much about the Monster as they thought they did. They may have thought that the water kept him at bay, while Widmore obviously knows that isn't the case.
