Mad Men for sure!

I thought Mad Dogs on Amazon was really good. There will not be a season 2 though. Season 1 is still worth watching.

Good stuff not yet mentioned:
Bosch - Amazon original, 2 seasons, maybe best cop show out right now
The Man in the High Castle - Amazon original, 1 season
Terriers - Netflix, cancelled after one great season on FX
Hannibal - 2 of 3 seasons on Amazon. Great show
Peaky Blinders - Netflix
The Fall - Netflix
Fortitude - 1 season on Amazon.
Top of the Lake - Netflix
Twin Peaks - both seasons on Amazon, a must see of course
Rectify - 2 seasons on Netflix
Bates Motel - 3 seasons on Netflix
Check out the Sneaky Pete pilot on Amazon, it was really good. Season 1 coming in 2016.

Watched the pilot last night. So far, so good. A more realistic grittiness.

Any recommendations for series on Amazon or Netflix. I have seen Breaking Bad, Fargo, Hell on Wheels and Better call Saul. Any others that I should try? TIA.

House of Cards. It's one of a kind. Masterful.

LOVED this series. I was so pissed when it wasn't renewed.
ETA: Of the shows I've watched in the last year or two, nothing comes close to Peaky Blinders.

If you haven't seen them, I would watch in this order.
1. Bloodline - incredible show and only one season to digest with the 2nd coming out in a month
2. Narcos - ditto as above with a longer wait time for 2nd season
3. Dexter - an all time great show with a lot of material that will keep you tied up for a lot of watching. This is quality and volume if you want something that will last awhile for you.
4. Homeland - one of my favorite series ever. It is up there with Breaking Bad, Dexter, The Wire, etc.
5. The Wire - the entire series is on Amazon so I would take advantage of that if I were you. Im through the first two seasons and it's solid. Im not of the opinion yet that it's the best ever like some proclaim, but from what I gather it gets better as the seasons go on because they begin to intertwine.
6. Peaky Blinders - Simply an awesome as frick show.

I liked Boardwalk Empire, but I didn't love it. I think I watched 3 seasons and never revisited it.

Great recommendations in the replies. Here's some I'd add that include some older series and are in no particular order:
Generation Kill (Based on true story of 1st Recon, USMC drive into Baghdad. Great series and book.)
Deadwood (if you like Hell on Wheels, you should love this)
Rome (canceled after 2 seasons due to high production costs)
The Pillars of the Earth (not sure if this is on Amazon Prime or if you have to pay)
World Without End (Sequel to Pillars of the Earth)
The Borgias (Netflix. Same issue as Rome)
Boardwalk Empire
Turn: Washington's Spies
Low Winter Sun (This was OK but some people loved it)
Arrested Development
I'll assume you've seen Band of Brothers, The Pacific, The Wire, and The Sopranos since they should be required watching for all adult aged American men.

Game of Thrones, The Expanse, Black Sails, The Magicians, and Outlander are all good.
