I hate to toss stones here, but simply having Pacino and DeNiro in a movie, doesn't make it a "mob" movie. Heat is a cops and robbers movie.

I wish this movie had a little bit bigger budget. The story was there but it wasn't made very well

Not sure if you think AG doesn't belong on the list because it's not good enough, or because it's not a mob movie. If you think it's not good enough, I'm not sure why you'd single it out. Maybe you should rewatch it. It's a great movie. I'll admit that it's nowhere near the top four on my list, which are in a class of their own. But I like American Gangster better than some of the others people have listed (Scarface, Casino, The Untouchables). There are also a handful I haven't seen.
