Let's do a Star Wars Series Rewatch

I don't consider the prequels canon but they will be included. 2 a week starting the week of November 30th (I'm out of town all thanksgiving).

I meant to say cannon. Yeah I did. Yeah. I meant it as in cool. Like if something isn't cannon, you'd shoot it out of one. Yeah. That's it.

I'm never watching the prequels again.
If I participate in such a thread, I will only discuss the original unaltered theatrical release (or a suitable HD alternative - i.e. harmy's Despecialized editions). I will not watch TFA.
So, with those caveats - I will be available to participate.

I am afraid to watch the prequels before the originals. Does it make the original special effects seem crappy?

I don't know if this is a serious post, but I've always thought the original trilogy has stood the test of time very well (sans Luke's hairstyle).

Started this morning after hearing about the cuts with the best video and the original content.
I watched Ep 4 part way...can already tell which scenes were from original and from the remastered.
Still good though.

Just because I don't acknowledge the prequels happened doesn't mean that supposed prequels aren't canon.

I don't think I've actually watched any of the movies from the original trilogy all the way through since I was about 7 or so. It's been about 20 years. I should probably rewatch.
Eta: actually that might be a lie. Last time I watched them all the way through was when Lucas added all that CGI. Regardless it's been a while.

I've got 2 more left of my rewatch. I did it by order of release date.
While watching Phantom Menace my husband tells me "Jar Jar reminds me of you". Basically he meant by how clumsy he is (I'm a walking disaster I'm that clumsy). Still I was not amused at his comparison

Star Trek kinda departed from the original version too, and it worked out okay.
