Fun episode. Glad they made some pretty definitive clarifications.

Still haven't explained why Syd had no feet in the bedroom scene from the first episode.

That hideous lurking thing - I'll call him "Mushroom man" strictly out of ignorance - is he the "shadow king" some here have been talking about?

Whatever, I started thinking - the thing about the parasite and the ant is an apt description of what may be its intention and MO. Utterly consume David, then kill whatever is left of his body.

I'm also sure I've entirely missed the call. But it's fun to be along for the ride.

Great episode. I'm sad it's ending soon. Loved the silent movie part.

Was last night's episode directed by someone new? Definitely had a different feel to it.

Apparently the wheelchair was the same wheelchair used in filming Xmen: Apocalypse.

I guess you missed the part where Oliver called him the Shadow King.

Y'all think shadow King makes it to season 2?

I have no clue but it will be a shame if he doesn't. Aubrey Plaza has been killing it in this role.

I was going to say the same thing. It always amazes me when someone asks a question that was explicitly answered on the screen.

Yeah, Dennie Gordon. The last four episodes all had different directors — including Hiro Murai, who did Atlanta.

It goes back to Michael Uppendahl, who did 2 and 3, for the season finale.

Would somebody mind explaining the significance of the drooling guy? They show him drooling in two separate hospital scenes. One in the first episode and one when the whole team goes. Maybe they were different people. Anyway, then when Melanie is trying to change the frozen bodies around, she finds him alone, bleeding. She whispers something in his ear. Next time I remember seeing him, he has the power to tackle Lenny/shadow king away from Sydney and Kerry. I say he has the power because Lenny just got done crushing a powerful mutant with her mind. So, tackling her has more to it than that. Are there parts where his significance is explained and I missed it? He just seemed kind of random. Also, if he was the same drooling guy in both scenes, it's weird he would be in the psych ward in the beginning. Maybe he was there keeping an eye on David.

The drooling man is Rudy, the guy on Jean Smart's crew who had the kick-arse telekinesis powers and was throwing people around in earlier episodes.

Jew-fro Walter had stabbed him and stuck him in a closet before assuming his identity. That's why he was in a comatose state in the "hospital". He was almost dead in real life when they all got thrown into the astral plane.
