Legendary movies that didn’t live up to the hype

What are some movies for you that have widespread praise that you found lack luster? I got around to watching Taxi Driver and I just didn’t see what the big deal was. I love classic movies, but I guess I had high standers for it. One of my friends swears that A Clockwork Orange is the same situation, but it exceeded my expectation and I loved it. Another movie I’ll throw out there is Deadpool. I found it to be really annoying and unfunny.

I'd slightly agree with this one. I didn't like it nearly as much as I thought.

Yeah, that movie is phenomenal. No question.
I'd probably say.... THe Magnificent Seven? Maybe.
Probably because Seven Samurai is one of my favorites, but it was pretty meh to me, and I'd pick dozens of westerns over it.

Was never a big fan of Raging Bull. Characters weren't people you root for, people should watch On the Waterfront instead.

I enjoy Reservoir Dogs more than Pulp Fiction.

It didn’t live up to the hype for you but did for everyone else. Maybe you didn’t realize what you were getting with Deadpool. Because everyone else that didn’t like it, probably weren’t hyped up for it in the first place.
