Another terrible choice.

I think he gets a few more months through the election, but if its not up to snuff with the amount of material generated by this election, he gone.

Trevor Noah, i watched the first few weeks when he took over and thought his monologues were pretty funny, but found his interviews to be painfully awkward. Then I stopped watching all together. Just started watching again during this election cycle, and I like it even less now. he's just not good.

comedy central really really fricked up if they had any chance of keeping John Oliver in house, and let him walk. Now, they may not have had a choice, Oliver could have said "thanks, but no thanks", and if that's the case then it's not on them, but if they never presented him the choice of either taking over for jon stewart or creating his own show like colbert than they are just idiots, and some execs should have lost their jobs. Because it was clear how great he was/could be when he took over hosting duties for jon stewart.

Yeah Olivier had his HBO show a full year before Stewart left. I like him on HBO but wish he was every night

Should have been cancelled a year ago when they ridiculed Bill Nye for being interested in Mars over Caitlyn Jenner.

Just watched that....wow.

agreed, that's my only complaint with oliver's show.

However, there is zero chance comedy central didn't know Stewart was going to leave, or at the very least thinking about calling it quits. Especially when he left to go direct his movie. I'm sure they knew well in advance that Stewart's time was coming to an end.

BN: gravity on Mars is about 40% of earths....

Idiot: what that mean? What's 40%?

BN: that it's less than half

It was hard to fathom how dumb that woman was/is. Nightly show was just awful. Highlight of his career is calling Obama a **** during the WH correspondence dinner.

Part of me hopes it was scripted, but after seeing Nye's reactions, it seemed genuine.

I don't think Noah is that but the correspondent talent pool is really down. Plus, they seem to do one too many segments of them beating up on far right loons. We get it.

It's a comedy show that didn't make people laugh. It got what it deserved.

Really at this point, they'll be grasping at straws not to give Norm a show. Larry's ratings always sucked, so why not give Norm a shot? Yes he's nearly impossible to control, but Norm having a show where he lambasts SJWs for months at a time would be great. His show would be the antithesis of Wilmore's Piece of shite.

Also think of what kind of Reporters he could bring in: Collin Quinn, Dave Attell, David Spade, Jim Breuer, David Koechner, Tim Meadows, Molly Shannon, Artie Lange, Sarah Silverman, Anthony Jesselnik, etc. He could bring in a lot of talent to bust balls with that show.

Because Norm already had a show a CC show that failed and it's not like his celebrity has blown up since then.

Why do you think that's what he would want to do?

A really good choice, going the opposite way would be Carolla. With some good writers, he could be really good (ala his pal). He just has to smarten it up a bit more and get the right people around him..

It was a sports comedy show though. You're not giving him a large spectrum to work with.

He petitioned hard to get "The Late, Late Show" and Norm was Letterman's choice for who he wanted to replace him. The guy wants to be a full fledged talk show host. The only problem is he's pissed off just about every executive in Hollywood at this point by not submitting to authority. If it weren't for Norm's friendship and connections to other comedians and the fact that every talk show host loves him, his career would have been dead before the turn of the century.

Carolla makes a shite ton with his podcasts, has "To Catch a Contractor", has refused multiple positions in the past which require him to move to NYC, and hates authority as much as Norm does. I don't see Carolla leaving what he has now to follow Trevor Noah. Norm doesn't have anything but Last Comic Standing, which doesn't require that much effort from him.

It will end at midnight at least. They'll probably try to get Hardwick to also do an after show called Talking Midnight.

Comedy centrals only solution to this is to hope that Colbert gets canned by CBS and they back up the brinks truck to get him back
