Surprised at the level of hate. I guess because earlier everyone was fawning over it, this is the inevitable, "No, this movie sucked" backlash. Particularly with a movie like this that is purposefully ridiculous.

I enjoyed it, the only thing that bothered me was the "oxfords not brogues" line. Brogueing is a decoration, so he is telling Eggsy wear oxfrods with no brogueing, but the line comes off as wear this not that, should have been "oxfords, no brogues." It's stupid I know, but other than that I did enjoy the movie. I thought I read somewhere they were in talks about a sequel.

ETAA: Technically a shoe can be a brouge, but you can have a oxford with brogueing or without. In the movie, IIRC, they were both an oxford, one had brogueing and one without. Like I said, its stupid that it bothered me.

Loved the movie, but the girlfriend at the time didn't like it. She was also older than me and sometimes could make things just not fun with how mature she tried to act. So since then when I hear people don't like it then I think they're genuinely just not fun or just have terrible lives and can't enjoy a good laugh.

Exactly, most people I assume wouldn't think twice about it, so it really isnt that big of a deal, just something that stuck with me when he said it.

I have no idea what you're even talking about, but it seems it takes some in depth knowledge in the subject so if I knew something like and they dicked it up it would bother me too.
It's like they knew enough about it to include it, but didn't go the extra mile to make sure it was correct.

I actually enjoyed the movie. I plan on watching it on spike or FX for many years to come. But starting with the church scene, it went into full blown zombie apocalypse mode. I just didn't dig that. I got the deal with the exploding heads. It's not like they would have been better off showing actual exploding heads.
I just didn't like the whole mass murder event.

Just watched this on a plane
It was good not great. Gave it a B-
Great cast and loved the first hour but way too over the top. Tried too hard to be cute
It has a 58 on megacritic so it's not the next godfather people. Some people acting like its blasphemy to say it wasn't amazing
