Tried to watch it last night. Is it one of those movies that's better when you watch it stoned or drunk?

Yes but it's funny regardless

It's been a decade since I watched it, but I remember it being hilarious. It's one of those random movies that's definitely not for everyone, though.

I came here to say that. This movie is hilarious if you have the right frame of mind.

Yes. It is also important that you be age 13 to 18, and it is 1978.

If you've never seen Loose Shoes its like Kentucky Fried Movie.
Also helps if you're juvenile, drunk, or high, but the last skit makes me laugh every time.
Dark Town After Dark (NSFW Language)
Bill Murray's in a skit too, I believe it's his first acting credit

If you've never seen it before, you might not be too impressed...but part of that is because in the years since it was released, lesser movies by lesser writers have beaten that comedic style to death. Still plenty of LOL moments 'tho, IMO...

The first time I saw it was about 20 years ago when I was a teenager; I thought it was the funniest movie ever. Tried watching it a few years back and it hasn't aged well at all. Except catholic high school girls in trouble, tities never go out of style.

I laughed the first time I saw the commercial for Scot Free. I thought it was a fun parody of board game commercials, while still holding up in the JFK Assassination realm.
And yeah, Catholic High School Girls in Trouble still holds up.
