Obviously several characters change over the course of the show, but what is going on with Kelly? She starts as super conservative quiet, and suddenly she's aggravatingly chatty, dumb, and flamboyant?

Nelly was the British chick right? I always find it off putting that they made her an object of desire for Danny California. She wasn't that attractive and that dude was a millionaire.

Oh, Kelly. Yeah I think it was just her coming out of her shell. I never found her that annoying though.

Oh shite, I just realized who Kelly was, I thinking of Erin the hot redhead. Yeah they turned her completely around. She was an unbearable cartoon character by the end.

She was originally just a writer on the show. Then they made her a series regular and made her character a clingy nut job.

Lot's of shows start out with only a few major characters and develop the additional characters personalities as later seasons progress. Archer is the perfect example of this.

Was about to post this. Kevin barely spoke in the first few seasons and had a very dull tone. Then he turned into one of the more outspoken characters.
One of my favorite Kevin moments:
Robert: Oh, you’d go someplace else. That’s not it, that’s not the answer.
Kevin: It’s a answer.
Robert: It’s a wrong answer.

Not really the same thing. We are talking about characters developing within a show. You are talking about actors being successful because of a show.

Andy developed into a big part of the show which then boosted his career... that's similar to what y'all are talking about.
