6:00 PM showing for me. Hearing reports that Superman is back on track and he's not the gloomy emo soulsucker he was in the first two movies. If that's true, I'll look for a good avi reflecting that good development. And I'm hoping that's the case as Henry Cavill has the potential to be the GOAT Superman.
With that said, Praise the lord that this is Hack Snyder's last time out with the keys to the two most famous superheroes there is in comic book history. If Joel Schumacher didn't exist, he truly would the worst hire ever in comic book history. A guy who only knows how to make shitty disaster porn being in charge of character and story driven movies is the biggest mismatch ever.

Oh and sucks for DC that Netflix is dropping Punisher Season One tomorrow. Just saw a preview for it here at the movies. That's gonna have a small effect.

Let us know how disappointed you are when you get out.

I'm sure the timing is not an accident but I don't see it making much of a difference. Even the hardcore Marvel fanboys are talking more about JL than Punisher.

Just got out. I thought it was ok. To say it was rushed is an incredible understatement. But I had a lot of fun with this movie. The only forced jokes IMO were the one's during the final act. It was actually hilarious for the most part. Like, legit funny. It was basically like a generic version of The Avengers. If we would have had Cyborg, Flash, and Aquaman movies first, it would have improved things. I actually thought the movie flowed well for the most part.
The biggest disappointment for me was the final act. It was very meh. The MOS and BvS final acts were more impressive. Highly disappointing.
I give it a 7/10. A lot of fun. Ok.

They literally went and hired the guy who did the Avengers movie to replace Snyder, so this shouldn't be a surprise to anyone.

Here come the "I wasn't going to see it but I saw it" posts.

I enjoyed it. Yea the CGI on Steppenwolf wasn't great and it was a bit rushed, but it was a fun movie. Superman was finally how he should be, and the rest of the JL they got right. How this is currently a 38% and Iron Man 3 was a 79% is idiotic.

Well it’s the truth, no way do I see this if I was paying for it. Having said that, it was better than I was expecting. Wasn’t great, it’s felt very rushed and would have been better had everyone had there own movie first, but there were parts I really enjoyed. Flash was great, Aquaman was good, Cyborg was ok. Still sitting in theater, first credit scene was good, haven’t seen second one yet.

What a piece of shite.
Superman was GREAT.
The film itself was smoking hot garbage.

I agree, this is better than a 38% score

The funniest part for me was when Aquaman was sitting on Wonder Woman's lasso by accident.
Whedon did some great work with the comedy. It started to feel a little forced in the final act, but it was pretty damn funny for the most part.

Just saw the 6pm showing.
Way better than I'd expected. Was not disjointed (Suicide Squad) or choppy (BvS) or depressing in any way (MoS). Whedon got everything to work, in spite of the challenges. If there's an award for saving a project in post, Whedon should win two.
Forcing so much into one film... It was like one of those special comic book issues where they brought in a ton of characters, and the story is made up of a bunch of three or four page vignettes. Cut to Paradise Island, cut to Atlantis, cut to Gotham... it all worked for me.
It was corny in all of the best ways. The jokes didn't kill it, and Whedon took some alternate edits to what we'd seen in the previews (which was nice).
The fricking awesome points:
Seeing a Green Lantern in action.
The Greek Gods acting as superheroes.
Mera's breasts and Wonder Woman's arse.
The lasso of truth joke.
Switching Wonder Woman from abandoning mankind to hesitating to lead it.
Flash losing his shite when he realized that angry Superman could see him at full speed.
The weak points:
Using mustache Superman for the opening scene. They should've opened with the Batman scene. I know what Whedon was going for, but it was unnecessary. And your first image is a bad CGI Superman.
Steppenwolf. Amazed that they skimped on that CGI budget.
Cyborg's design. Whedon gave us hope with that final Cyborg scene, showing him reshaping his armor towards the comic version. But he looked too alien for the bulk of the movie.
It was extremely comic booky, and Elfman having fun with the score helped (so much Batman and Superman old school, including Elfman closing the credits with one last blast of 89 Batman).
The end credits scenes were cool. So glad that they weren't throw away jokes. The race was classic Silver Age DC. And the final scene was ballsy. Showing a new character like that hasn't been done since Nick Fury, has it?
Theater wasn't packed, but there were some shouts when Superman made his presence known, when Cyborg gave his catch phrase, and small applause at the end.
8/10 for the fun. Steppenwolf and a couple of forced short bits bring it down, but the comic book spirit of the entire thing made up for it.

I still laughed when Bruce said "I'm rich" to what superpower he had, and I had seen that clip in trailers probably 20 times.
They did a good job adding jokes throughout, and made good use of Barry Allen as he should be.

Actors did great job with their characters. They deserved better script and story. Not a bad movie but not great. I’d call it fun but flawed. Honestly I hoped for and expected better.

I wanted to catch the first show to avoid spoilers, happy to report a success.
I figured Superman would return, but I had no idea when/how. The return itself was... serviceable. Aquaman was much better written than I thought he'd be. Barry Allen might be an awesome character in the future, provided a villain discovers a vulnerability.
Turns out everyone calling DC stupid for starting with a massive venture were dead on. It felt like an hour of back story poorly interwoven. That's not to say the characters themselves show no promise, just the execution was crap. Like a longsuffering baseball fan looking forward to "next year", I look forward to future DC installments that can actually build off this rocky foundation.
Lastly, I'm kicking myself for missing the second post credits scene. For as much hate as he has gotten here, a turned Luthor is comic movie gold. Again, wait til next year...

I saw the 6:30 show and just got home. The main criticisms I've heard are correct. Rushed story, Steppenwolf had no weight as a character, and the CGI on Steppenwolf and especially the tentacles at the end took me out of it. But I will say this...it was fun. This felt the most like reading a comic book than any other movie in the genre to me. Most disappointed they did not spend more time on setting up Aquaman, but we'll get his movie next year. If there is another 20 or 30 minutes I hope we get an extended cut on Blu-Ray. 7 out of 10
