So its got 79% on RT, most the critics liked it. It grossed over $1.2 Billion, highest of the year(top 5 all time). So I guess what some of you are saying is most people are dumb, have terrible taste in movies, and are not as smart as some you nerds. It wasn't that bad of a movie. Give it a rest already.
Or it had a good trailer and followed the Avengers, so I'm thinking that's more likely the case, not that people really enjoyed it. Granted that is one if the most flabbergasting T-meters I've seen in a while.

That may have been the biggest frick you. I thought for sure he would go seek out the Mandarin in China and then get shot down in Siberia, but he's instead in the middle of Tennessee, where he's likely less than a mile from a fricking cell phone and less than 30 from an operational airport? Who gives a frick? When you mention the Mandarin, I want to see some badass Chinese mountains, temples, and mysticism, not an actor and lava men.

The only big budget marvel movie that was worse was emo- Spider-Man. IM3, Spidey3, and X3 were all craptastic.
Posted on 10/25/13 at 11:44 am to BOSCEAUX
I agree spiderman 3 was terrible as well as X3. I still put IM3 above those by a sizable margin though.

I hated emo-spidey so much I don't know if it will ever be topped for me. frick you Tobey.

I just find it hard to believe majority of the critics gave it a positive review if it is so shitty. I just dont see how it grosses so much money if everyone who watched it hated it. Makes ZERO sense.
Avatar (RT 83%) is the highest grossing movie of all time and it is complete shite. Transformers: Dark of the Moon is umber 6 all time, right behind IM3.

I cringed when I saw that movie. I'm with you nothing is as bad as spidey 3.

Not complete shite but agree that it's not that great. I wouldn't watch it again. Saying its complete shite is a bit much.

Critics give big event-type movies a pass, and they shouldn't.
Posted on 10/25/13 at 12:12 pm to JombieZombie
I guess but pretty much 80% of the people who saw this movie liked it including users and critics. You look up iron man and most of the ratings are good.
Posted on 10/25/13 at 12:21 pm to AUtigerNOLA
will there be another iron man? the ending sucked
Posted on 10/25/13 at 12:21 pm to AUtigerNOLA
And the same people who take the time to vote on RT are the same people who vote The Dark Knight or The Shawshank Redemption as the best film ever made on IMDB.

Shawshank is a great movie arguably the best of the 90s. Dark Knight was solid. But not the best ever I agree. But point is some of you take yourselves way too seriously. You can hate on IM3 all you want, box office numbers and film ratings say otherwise.

like jombie said, big movies like this get special treatment

Based on numbers alone. Revenge of the Fallen must be one of the best movies ever made then. Likewise the Twilight movies.

The Dark Knight Rises sits at 88%. It's a stinker but it was an event film, critics gave it a pass; moreover, box office numbers absolutely do not dictate the quality of a piece of entertainment.
On the flip side, it's easy for critics to hate on certain films, e.g., what they deem pretentious. When in doubt, group think.

I agree to some extent. Its just IM3 is not as bad as a movie ya'll are making it out to be, just my opinion. There have been far worse movies to watch for entertainment than IM3. It seems many on here are some expert film directors with the way yall bash some of these films. Spiderman 3 is way worse based on the acting alone.
