IMO, the first season was awful after the Halloween episodes. But season two was really good, and had an amazing ending.

Just started watching Season 1. Maybe they could rename the show "American Doorbell" or "People keep wandering into my house"

It's been a fairly steady decline for me. Murders House was definitely the best. Asylum was really good, too (aside from the rather pointless ET tangent). Freak Show was just a mess that went away from the only 2 interesting characters in the season.

Season one was some of the most entertaining TV I've ever watched.
From there on it takes a nose-dive in seasons 2-3, and I haven't seen the new seasons to comment.
They try soo hard to be edgy and off the wall that it often comes across as trying too hard.
Usually that involves sex and murder of some sort. But given Ryan Murphy is the director (Nip/Tuck) that shouldn't really surprise you.

i liked season 1 A LOT. Haven't seen all of season 2 yet. I liked season 3 because it was about witches and filmed in NO. season 4 I lost interest in pretty quickly and didn't finish it. Reallly looking forward to season 5 though!

Season 2 = Entertaining, but wrapped up terribly. They ended too many storylines at once. So much potential to take it many different seasons.
Season 4 = Lots of potential, but ultimately ended up just being decent.
Season 3 = Terrible... I question the IQ of anyone who enjoyed this season.

The first half of season 1 was fantastic. The second half with the shoehorned devil baby bullshite was a joke.
Asylum was pretty boring. Coven was an upgrade insofar as it just accepted what it had become -- mindless, cliche, and absurd. Then Freakshow came which was just terribad. Is there going to be a fifth? I probably won't even watch.
