That clearly shows how flawed those ratings are. This movie was a huge disappointment for all involved. Even the main star is speaking up about it.

I expect your hero not giving his so called friend a cure to his deadly disease to be something of more substance than "something bad could happen". Peter was just a fricking dick to Harry and pretty much deserved everything coming to him.

Like that has never happened before. Don't act like comic movies have to be perfect when their substance isn't.

Remember when Batman hung a insane patient from his plane? Hilarious.

Or what about this great Superman moment.

Or when Superman drops his cousin in an orphanage, makes out with her

Or Prof X being a troll

Or Batman forcing wiping Dick Graysons mind and returning him to an orphanage

Or the time Batman locked KGBeast in a cave and starves him to death

Sigh. Making up crap about how I like IM3 now. That movie was disappointing after I had low expectations due to IM2 botching an all star cast and my giddiness at Rockwell being involved. So many people have axes to grind when it comes to this movie. If you'd like to discuss actual aspects of the movie, I'd be more than happy to outside of broad stances that are parroted over and over (I'm asking for detailed complaints).

I liked it. I didn't like Electro, but I liked everything else. Had a lot of humor in it but wasn't goofy.

Amazing Spiderman 2 actually felt like I was watching a comic.

It's a half step away from being a Schumacher Batman movie.

THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2

These have been weird movies for me and I suspect many others. There have been parts of them them that I prefer WAY more than the Toby films.

I like Garfield's Spidey way more. Emma Stone as Gwenn was great and their obvious chemistry was the best part of the movies. Even though if you're familiar with the cannon you know it's coming I was still moved by her scene.

I enjoyed that they went more traditional and didn't have actual webs shooting out of his wrists (WTF, Sam?!?)

I also like the addition of the back story of his parents and OSCORP.

And then there's the villains...which have been pretty horrendous. They cast Lizard well, and then made him look terrible. Fox was plain awful as Electro AND Max. And while I like the guy who played Harry a lot, what they did with HIS version of Green Goblin was just...well, I mean...Marvel ought to have the rights to Spider-Man revert back to them just because of that abortion of a move by Sony. That made Toby Maguire's Emo-Spider-Man look like a scene out of Godfather 2.

So...in my opinion, we've had two Spider-Man movies with horrible villains but good Spideys and a solid love interest. They've basically been good rom-coms with a superhero as the lead.

They could have been so much better...

I typically thoroughly enjoy action movies that movie snobs hate, like the Star Wars prequels, most of the Transformer movies, every single X-Men movie, including Wolverine origins, and many others. But even I thought Amazing Spiderman 2 was terrible.
