First two episodes are out and they are fricking legit!

They upped their game. Must watch in my opinion.

The first two episodes are worth watching, hopefully the final season goes out with a bang.

I thought that was the same actress from season 1? The same woman that got to thick in real life and Amazon didn’t want anything to do with her.

It is. She's a big girl. She's still pretty but she used to be fine

Amazon done her dirty, it reminds me of the sister from Succession. The vast majority of the people posting on this site would be lucky to wake up to either woman.

Wow didn’t realize season 4 was out…I hate waiting for all the episodes to drop…Netflix does that shite right by dropping everything at once…

Watched and enjoyed. The location computer scroll captions are overdone. They do it on practically every cut to the point that it’s distracting.

I’m always down for Jack Ryan. I feel like Season 4 came out quick.

Also, I prefer the binge, but in the long run it’s probably better for me to continue having multiple shows to watch, instead of finishing everything so quickly.

First two episodes have been really enjoyable. Still think the acting leaves something to be desired but story is great.

I like it better than the other seasons so far. I don’t notice the bad acting as much on my iPad while my kid watches blippi lol

How technical, intricate and "it's possible" is it so far this season?

I ask that as a Clancy fan, because season 2 was so horribly wrong as far as that goes. I don't care about politics one way or the other, as long as it's rooted in reality and you can make the projection he does. Season 2 was utter fantasy.

Season 3 did a much better job.

I'm so mixed on this show and most Prime shows

- It's entertaining, I'm glad they're putting it out and I'll watch it happily
- It just seems considerably lower quality than the rivals putting out material at the same time and I can't really put my finger on it. Acting a little worse, writing a little worse, etc.

By way of other example, as much as I've enjoyed Terminal List, I would be interested to see what something like Apple could have done with it.

Only 2 episodes in. Without giving any spoilers, the plot seems to be fairly complex/intricate but still understandable and "possible" (at least as action and political intrigue thrillers go). It honestly seems to me that they are trying to be somewhat apolitical in terms of the who the "bad guys" are.

So far its nothing as dumb as S2. Of course, the tide could all change in a heartbeat if we learn that the far-flung international conspiracy is instigated by a network of domestic white nationalist insurrectionists.

Season 2 was such an insult to the Clancy brand. And I don't mean that it was "liberal" or woke in intent, it was the lack of realism.

1) Venezuela was portrayed as ultra-right fascist. Venezuela is as left-communist-socialist as Cuba, and that's a simple objective fact.
2) The dictator was worried about, and ultimately deposed by, outside media and a popular vote that he honored. That's so outside of reality it's ridiculous. Banana republics couldn't care less what the true vote is, they have the results printed before they announce there will even be an election. And shoot whoever publicly challenges those numbers.
3) In the season finale, our hero literally goes to the presidential palace and punches the dictator in the nose. With the military support of... less than a dozen people.

All of those concepts are so far removed from the careful construction of a believable, "real" world that reflects on our own, that Clancy was so famous for. It just doesn't fit his MO.

As I said, season 3 was a lot better. A rogue, former Communist group using a tactical nuke to destabilize a central European country and attempt to run a coup in Russia... that's a realistic Clancy scenario.
I don't even know the premise of Season 4 yet.

Did anyone else notice that some of the plot borrows heavily from Clear and Present Danger?

I agree with this. In the first episode, they put up a location caption during a scene at the dock, even through the scene right before it was also at the dock.

much better. The premise is much more of a Clancy type of idea... a "what if this were to happen" concept.

One thing that bugs me so far about season 4: they keep repeating "the CIA is a microcosm of the USA", suggesting you can't trust what someone is doing because they have different views.
