I've been meaning to start it, but just never have. Can I start Fear the Walking Dead or will it not work?

Yes. Walking Dead more or less starts several weeks deep into the Zombie Apocalypse. This series tells how the ZA all went down.

You should be fine. In fact, because of the timelines, you may be better off watching Fear first.

They are two separate shows. So I don't see how not watching TWD would ruin the FTWD.

Hope one of you doesn't die, turn, and eat the other one.

Robert Kirkman...creator of both shows.

You'll be fine. Different story....same zombies.

Its like night and the living dead and return of the living dead.

One show has one set of rules and the other has another.

In fear the walking dead, if you shoot them in the head it doesn't matter. They keep coming and they run fast and can talk.

I take it you're kidding?
Anyway even though this show is in the same universe it has a story of its own and so it can be watched separately.

You'll be fine, this story takes place as shite is going down in Los Angeles. TWD takes place after the apocalypse happened in Atlanta

It's a completely separate show. The only similarity is the zombies.

You're not missing much, honestly. The first season works as a halfway decent zombie miniseries, but I'd cut bait after that.
