I'm not sure but I'm hoping redemption is in his future.

Most forget he's like 18 in the book. Kid went through some messed up shite. Could always tell he wished he'd have stayed with Robb. Hope he makes it right in Winds

It's pretty damn awful. While GRRM has his writing faults, he's been incredibly good at writing these character arcs that really make you question how you feel about them. You start out rolling your eyes at Theon's smug arse, hating him when everything goes down at Winterfell, and then you end up kind of rooting for him to frick some people up after what he endures at the hands of the Boltons.

His transformation to Reek is .

He's trying hard to make me feel bad for him, but I still feel like the little shite deserved it.

But, I'm Team Wolf, so...

I'll also say I think the books have done a better job building up the sympathy angle then the show has at this point.

I can't believe I didn't find the books years ago, but I didn't know about them before I watched the show.

I've started reading them, but I won't let myself get ahead of the show, because I don't want to mess with that experience.

I think it's charming that there are so many readers of young adult fantasy novels on this board.

If you think GoT is for young adults you're a goddamn moron.

Theon Greyjoy can rot in hell. No sympathy for him.

So are you saying it's not appropriate material for young adults?

He got his dick cut off. Pretty high up there on the tragedy scale.

Define "young adults" I guess I consider them younger than 20. I mean Harry Potter, Twilight, hunger games doesn't have any incest rape.
