Don't think I can say i've watched something he's done and been bored whether it's TV, movies, wrestling, etc.

I'd have to say Willem Dafoe or Paul Giamatti

I was thinking that if you are in a room with that guy, who is everyone wanting to talk to? Who is every woman wanting to be with?

And, not just because he is an actor.

Can't think of a woman that fits this category, to be honest.

Elizabeth Taylor, in her heyday?

Joan of Arc must have been pretty charismatic.

I fail to see them being as charismatic as the Rock. Yeah, women loved them and I'm sure they were "cool", but no way could they hold a crowd's attention like the Rock. Regardless of venue, type of show, etc., he captures everyone's attention.

Pitt/Clooney hold your attention on screen and would captivate a different kind of crowd than a WWE match.

Michael Jordan

Magic Johnson

Muhammed Ali

George Foreman (later)

Hitler?

Definitely. It's kind of difficult to see because of course he's using a foreign language in the clips where they show him speaking. But from all reports he was very charismatic both in public speeches and in personal interactions. How else could a failed Austrian painter who never rose above corporal in the military talk the German people into doing so much extreme stuff?

Rasputin would probably be another one along similar lines.

And the founders of pretty much every religion have to be up there too.

Ali is probably the only guy on that list that is/was charismatic. I think the unique thing about the rock is that he captivates more than just a wrestling audience. Guys like hulk hogan, stone cold and John cena were as popular as the rock in wrestling, but could never cross over to mainstream audiences. Furthermore, the rock hasn't really had a signature hit movie or role, yet he is one of the most marketable stars in Hollywood. His fame is derived from his charisma. That's what separates him from a clooney or Pitt.

I say yes. Even in his early films like The Scorpion King and Walking Tall he so clearly dominated the screen that it made you want to watch. Those were terrible movies without him.

The only time I would say his charisma started lacking was when he lost weight. The Race to Witch Mountain, The Gameplan, The Tooth Fairy...etc. It is almost like his charisma is directly tied to how imposing of a figure he is.

I want to believe Burt Reynolds is the exact person Norm McDonald portrays him to be.

Not counting any religious leaders or dictators, timberlake is near the top as well, definitely more than a brad Pitt or George clooney. Arnold Schwarzenegger is probably up there as well.
