watching it on FX now and man what a piece of shite.

Jammie Fox's Electro may be the worst comic movie villain since Arnold as Mr. Freeze

Its so bad Sony is letting Marvel help make the next one.

Fantastic Four hasn't even been that bad.

I haven't seen Amazing Spider-Man 2 but it would have to be fricking horrible the be worse than Spiderman 3. Like as in the filmmakers intentionally would have to make it bad with the goal of being worse than Spiderman 3.

Yes, it is. Spider Man 3 is enjoyably awful. Yes, Emo Peter Parker dancing around on chairs is cringeworthy, but it's at the point where its funny. I think Spider-Man 3 is almost intentionally bad, since Sony tried to control the movie and make him put every bit of shite they could think of. Raimi was clear early on that he never wanted to do Venom and he didn't like the character, so I think this may be the middle finger towards the studio.

But The Amazing Spider Man 2 is irredeemable garbage. There's nothing funny about it, and the only good part was the casting from the previous film. Why was Electro ever after Spider-Man. There is no motive. The movie just sucks and is by far the worst Spider-Man film.

But seriously, this legitimately great scene alone makes it better than TASM2: LINK

Not terrible. The Doc Ock one had a couple of lulls and frankly who gives a shite about Aunt Mae's financial problems and Peter Parker's self esteem and pizza delivery issues? And I get that Parker is poor and lives in squalor in the comics, but it wasn't realistic in the 21st Century.

And when the third one decided that they would once again end the movie with Spidey having to rescue Mary Jane, I was shaking my head in the theater.

I'm one of the only people who liked the movie.

I was excited about Garfield and his comments about how fricking stupid the studio was made me happy. He was a solid Spiderman. And Jamie Fox is way too hated.

And I was happy to see super-powered villains back in the universe. I liked the first one and honestly I liked the second one until Paul Giamatti ruined the entire movie and made it unwatchable in the last 30 seconds.

I thought Garfield did a solid job as Spidey. The first of his movies was solid. But he was hung out to dry on the second one. SM3 was tiptoeing into a Transformers sequel level of bad.

It's bad but not THAT bad. Spiderman 3 was a historic abomination. Nothing in ASM 2 compares to this:

Nooo.. his character had every right to go totally insane because Spiderman forgot his name... Even I was like someone rip my eyes out after seeing this sh*t!

Every time I hear people slag ASM2, I keep thinking they are talking about Spiderman 2, with Doc Ock. I then wonder if I missed something, and popular opinion just turned on what I once thought was a universally loved flick.

Quality-wise, F4 was way worse, but even it didn't make Fox tap out with the characters. And Spidey actually had some profitable movies for them. But ASM2 was so bad that Sony needed yet another reboot to try and salvage the franchise.

Granted Fox absolutely seems to hate comic books and Marvel as a whole. I would believe they are only holding the ip of Fantastic Four to keep it away from Marvel moreso than them thinking they can actually turn a profit off it.

Completely agreed. I didn't mind the first one with Garfield, but none of them are remotely rememberable.

I didn't think this awful scene in Spiderman 2 could be topped but Raimi surprised me and actually made something worse

TASM 2 is a very good flick. Don't let the hive mind decide for you. Check it out. Much like BvS, if you go in to have fun, you will.

ASM2 isn't good but it isn't as bad as everybody makes it out to be.

Garfield is a great Spiderman

Chemistry with Gwen was solid if not great.

The script was terrible. Garfield knew it, probably pissed off the wrong people and got fired for it.

Sony would have been fine doing a third one around Sinister Six with different writers and directors.

frick Spiderman 3. That's the only movie I've seen where I thought I was being trolled by a director mid film when the dance sequence started. Not to mention Peter being a beta bitch the scene before on the bridge with MJ.
