Watching it right now and I gotta admit, BM is awesome in that roll.

His role in Rushmore would like to have a word with you, OP.

Also his Hunter S Thompson role too.

Yes sir, thank you sir. I played in college, and they're gonna get your daughter too sir. I've heard their rallies, they like Julie but Tricia... and they really hate you sir. You know that one and a half of the State Senate of Utah are screwheads. You know I was never really frightened by the bopheads and the potheads with their silliness never really frightened me either, but these goddam screwheads, they terrify me. And the poor doomed, the young, and the silly, the honest, the weak, the Italians... they're doomed, they're lost, they're helpless, they're somebody else's meal, they're like pigs in the wilderness.

Others will disagree, but it's my favorite role of his.

The dance he does with his hair all askew in the final match still kills me. That, and the diner scene where he says "hi" to the women at the booth.

I won't comment on whether it was or wasn't the greatest, but I think an underrated role of his was as the attorney in Wild Things.

I love how he flaps that woman's skirt up!

I love Big Ern. There was some serious talent in that commercial.

That's why I intentionally said character and not role in the thread title.

He's had much better roles in his career, but he nailed the character as Big Ern. His mannerisms in this role was awesome. I know the Farrelly Brothers had a lot to do with it, but he fine tuned it.

Reporter : Any comment on the pending paternity suit?

Ernie : No, I pulled out of her way early!

Technically, they're all roles. Correct if I'm wrong but his character in Rushmore was no more real than his character in Kingpins.

Except playing a real person in Thompson for that movie...Depp is goat in that department, but Murray was still amazing.

Don't get me wrong, Murray was awesome in Kingpin, but isn't he awesome in pretty much everything he does. We could all post a thousand gifs from any BM movie where he is just boss...save the chick GB movie, wish he had never been a part of that abomination.

That was cool, but every BM movie probably has that style of improv. He's just that guy you let role and most of what he comes up with regardless of the script just works cause he's that fricking good.
