I only clicked on one TDKR thread once.

Once.

Not doing it again.

As for a ratio I couldn't say. I just never seen so much high praise jizz and then so much piss heaped on a movie on this board. I enjoyed it and thought it capped off the trilogy well though.

TDKR was so goddamn polarizing on this board. It struck a nerve with a lot of people. UknownKnight, RollTide, Baloo, Freaux, OML and a quite a few others went at it for 90+ pages in the initial thread. It was quite the bitchfest.

Not sure I ever entered that fray. Didn't love or hate it enough to enter that battle.

Basically the mindset of that thread was...

"His opinion is different from mine so obviously it's fricking stupid and retarded."

Wasn't invested in the comic book canon, so the Mandarin twist did not bother me.

The movie was okay for what it was, but could have been so much better.

I'm not invested in canon either, but to me it was just a stupid twist that was done for the sake of having a twist. Kingsley had all the makings of a really good bad, but they just dropped the fricking ball for no reason. Hell, since they're going the route they're going with the gems the rings would have been a great explanation for their existence here.

Did Stark outsource his suit manufacturing to China by the way? Those suits were way too easily defeated.

It makes Man of Steel look like a masterpiece.

It sucks.

Just saw this. Did not like it.

Why the eff does TS not have a working suit nearby? The first part of the movie is driven by him being stuck in a shitty prototype.

Also, there was very little Iron Man in this movie.

Very disappointed.

The first Iron Man was an epic movie

The second was really bad with a really good last 30 minutes

I loved iron man 3 until the last 30 minutes or which were absolutely horrible

Iron Man 3 is the second worst movie ever put in cinema.

You enjoyed a crying Tony Stark, no Iron Man except for when the suit failed and crashed, more Stark tears, and random orange people?

Welcome to the club. And you find out at the end of his movie he had 30 suits with ai flight capacity chilling at his house.

And that giant Rino beast suit that did nothing but hold up a shipping container?

I wasn't going to bring up MoS, but someone else did, so I'm safe....

IM3 and MoS gave me the same kind of reaction. There are parts that are quite good, pieces that i like a lot, but, and for different reasons, they just don't come together in the end. I still like the movies, but they aren't good movies.

The Mandarin change, even as a fan, didn't bother me. But the lack of Iron Man does. I like Shave Black's dialog, it just works with RDJ. But the mistakes in the film are mindboggling. It's like they just focused on cool dialog and character interplay. Even the Mandarin switch.... people can hate it, but it was slightly clever.

Not a good movie, but one I don't mind watching again.

MOS kicks the shite out of IM3. At least the Superman movie had a functioning Superman in it. IM3 just made no sense. I mean, he had to build a Home Depot suit when he could have sent for the fricking metal suit militia?
