quote:I would say there is more universal hatred toward Iron Man 3 At least people try to defend Man of Steel. There is no defending most of the hatred for this movie.
Only Man of Steel is hated more on this board.

Honestly the entire Iron Man franchise is pretty blah carried mostly by RDJ's great performance. The main issue with IM3 is that it is not only blah but it's not much fun, which at least the first two were.

Hated it for all the multitudes of reasons listed above but #1 reason was what they did to the Mandarin

IM1 was good. Both sequels sucked though.

It's not up for debate.
Hands down and no contest, this is the worst marvel movie movie ever so far. I have no idea wtf they were thinking when they rolled it off to theaters. A movie with only 5% of it being the actual Iron Man? The mandarin twist and the waste of billingsley?
.5/10

I'm not sure why 2 didn't take more heat.

Man, I bet this board was a shite storm with IM3 and MOS back to back in one summer. A lot of people didn't like ST Into Darkness either.

I honestly don't think 2 is that bad. I'll watch it when it comes on. 3 is not as bad as some of y'all make it out to be. But it isn't that good.

Yea there was constant shitting on that movie. People were so mad that it did so well at the box office.

You're out of your mind.
Just on actual superheroing alone, Superman was actually on screen and in character for nearly the entire movie and thats way more than Iron Man was. Its FTR alone, I felt swindled out of my money with IM3.
MoS shits all over IM3.
Posted on 6/15/14 at 2:26 pm to abellsujr
MoS was my favorite movie from last summer actually.

WUT?
People loved it, especially on this board. Ace is the only one to bitch about it.

I've never seen anyone who likes 3 actually refute any of the points brought up. 3 was a lazy pile of crap which took a steamer on any fan of the comic book.
Is it Crystal Skulls bad? No but it is actually close.
They both suffer from expectations being high with the output being trash.

I seem to remember a thread not too long ago where people were dissing it. I honestly like all three of those movies.

Just as long as we don't have another TDKR topic I'll be peachy.

And that's all marvel cares about man.
That's what happens when the name recognition and trustworthiness of the brand is so strong it can overcome a shitty movie. When you have sustained success like Marvel has, it'll protect you from at least one shitty movie and continue to roll in the dollars at the box office.
