I don't see how you can't be pumped for Star Trek. Looks like it will be pretty incredible.

November 1st, 2013

Only thing that worries me is the PG-13 rating and the potential of the movie to skip important aspects of the book (e.g. the fantasy game, details of battle and commander school, etc.).

wish they hadn't made the Enterprise getting owned and crash landing such a big thing in the trailers.

Why the hell does every other Star Trek movie feel the need to crash the Enterprise?? Talk about played out lazy ploy, sheesh.

Fast 6 has one saving grace, and her name gentlemen, is Gal Gadot.

I could just stare for hours at this woman.

Finally, we agree on something.

To the OP: If prequels/sequels/reboots are your thing, then 2013 is your year! Here's a list I put together for another thread:
quote:

Iron Man 3, Star Trek: Into Darkness, Thor: The Dark World, A Good Day to Die Hard, The Fast and the Furious 6, Man of Steel, G.I. Joe: Retaliation, Red 2, The Wolverine, The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, Monsters University, The Lone Ranger, Oz the Great and Powerful, Dorothy of Oz, Anchorman: The Legend Continues, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, Grown Ups 2, Scary Movie 5, Despicable Me 2, The Smurfs 2, 300: Rise of an Empire, Kick-arse 2

1. That list is shite. Putting a final destination on there

2. Of course there are outliers such as Aliens, Terminator 2, TDK, etc, but generally speaking, sequels are almost always worse than the originals. Not nearly as fun when the characters are already developed.

Only sequels on there with hopes of quality are Star Trek and Kick-arse 2. I hope man of steel is good.

So I guess like Snow White was last year, the theme this year is "The Wizard of Oz". I'm just going to take a guess that next year they're going with Sleeping Beauty.

Iron Man 3 looks as if it could be pretty good, since apparently they're going to Iron Man's low point in this one. I wasn't a big fan of the first two, although I did enjoy the Avengers. I'm still very apprehensive about Man of Steel though. I am just not sure if they're making the right decisions with it by making it overly dark and going back to the god damn origin story again.

It was definitely the best in the series, but it didn't require 1-4 to do it.

I thought it was decent. And I didn't particularly like the Star Trek remake.

I did a survey about movie names/dvd covers and Dorothy of Oz was one of them. It's a cheap animated flick.

This year's will be the President taking hostage: Olympus Has Fallen and White House Down.

My top 5 for the summer:

1. Man of Steel
2. Pacific Rim
3. Star Trek 2
4. Iron Man 3
5. 300 ROAE

Yes developed characters suck.

That's why I always look forward to superhero reboots.

Nothing like another batman origin story.
