I don't get the hate. I thought it was really good. Granted I have no prior knowledge of this series so castings seemed fine.

IMO, ASM2 was a film that got progressively more shite on as the hive mind hated on it more and more. It went from "meh with some cool scenes" to "omg WTF were they thinking!?!?!? holy shitballs worst Spidey ever, worse than SM3 by a landslide. Electro is the worst villain in movie history."
I'm not the only person who really enjoyed the film.
Iron Fist was enjoyable. Nothing earth shattering, and some characters were a little tough to care about, including Danny as he's such a little self righteous, know-it-all, prick (at points), even to his friends. My favorite part of the show was definitely the brother/son and the father dynamic to what was going on. I haven't read the comics though for any of this stuff, so I didn't have expectations going in.

Who the frick said anything about Amazing Spider-Man 2? I've never seen it. The first one was pretty good until the end and then I lost interest in the franchise. Spider-Man 3 is fricking laugh out loud bad. And guess what? So is Iron Fist.
From the acting to the choreography to the just plain awful dialogue, it is a very poor effort by Marvel.
To give an example of how bad the dialogue is, there's a scene when Danny fights Connie and she swings her practice sword at him and the line is something like: "That's a practice sword. It doesn't even have an edge." It's in the fricking shot as he says it. What a waste of dialogue. It adds nothing to the scene, to the characters or the plot. It's a line written by a 10 year old. And the series is littered with that. Not to mention the rather hackneyed lets put him in an insane asylum bit. O and have a patient try to kill him within minutes because, you know, the asylum is run by incompetents in the pocket of the bad guy.
