I've been anxious to watch interstellar for months now and I couldn't have been more disappointed. If it wasn't for the famous actors and top notch digital effects, I would have thought I was watching one of those low budget films on the sci-fi channel. (Like shark tornado) Don't tell me it's because I didn't understand it and I'm stupid. I understand the idea of the theory of relativity, I just didn't think it was possible to make such a boring movie about it. I expected better from Christopher Nolan.

You didn't understand it and you're stupid.

All jokes aside (but not really), did you watch the same movie I did? The same movie that had them encountering a wave the size of the Wall in Westeros and the most thrilling docking scene of all time? I need to see the movies you've been watching in order to call it one of the most boring movies you've seen IN years.

And don't watch 2001. Sure to bore you to suicide.

Yeah sure the giant wave was cool and there were a couple of exciting moments, but the bulk movie felt like one those new Lincoln commercials with Mathew mcconaughey brainstorming.

Be honest, did you not understand the ending?

Yep, that's all I need to hear. I initially didn't like the end to that movie, but the more I thought about it, the more I realized it was brilliant.

No, I think I understood it.(spoilers) Once Llewellyn dies and they don't even show it, it becomes obvious that the movie is really about the sheriff and not a psychopathic criminal chasing a man that stole his money. Up until the point where Llewlleyn died I was really enjoying the movie and was expecting a climatic fight between the Llewleyn and the criminal (I cant remember his name). But once he died off camera I became disappointed and it was difficult for me to enjoy the rest of the film even though it was still good.

I thought it was the best movie of the year but yea, I had couple of issues with it. For one thing, McConaughey's speech/speaking voice is under the breath mumbling at best at times in the movie. And the interaction with his daughter as he was leaving just didn't work for me. Other than those 2 aspects, I thought it was a great interesting/innovative movie.

It took you that long to figure out the movie was about the Sheriff?

Up until that point I had really enjoyed the thrilling cat and mouse chase and I expected the sheriff to have a major role in the ending, but I didn't expect him to be the main protagonist.

i'd understand not liking it... kinda. but to call it boring is ridiculous. the frick movies do you find exciting?

as far as no country goes (spoilers) i think it was a good move on the coen brothers part to not show llewelyn's death. allows for the scene where the sheriff lets the wife know what happened to be even more powerful. besides, chigurh wasn't even the one that killed him.
