Animation would be the only way to make it work. Even if you trimmed 14 books into 9 or 10 movies you'd still be looking at 15+ years. Actors age, die, move on to other projects. A premium cable series would be tough enough, but full-length live action movies just wouldn't work for WoT.

would like an HBO series like Game of Thrones for the Camulod Chronicles by Jack Whyte

That would be cool, Whyte's believable Merlin was fascinating.

On that note, I would like to see some of the Pendergast books made into movies. The only one they actually made (Relic), they cut Pendergast out of the script.

The Wanderer - (Le Gran Meaulnes) by Alain Fournier.

They made a movie in 1967 but it's really hard to get and I would like an updated version.

The Silmarillion!!!!

Give me a billion $ and I could make the greatest 10 part movie in the history of film.

Me too. The Deogenes trilogy would be awesome.

This.

I read somewhere that they were going to make the movie with John Goodman. For whatever reason, Goodman had to pull out and he recommended his good friend John "Spud" McConnell, who had played the role of Ignatius Reilly in traveling play. But, everything fell apart and the movie was never made.

I'd like to see them get it off the ground.

Perhaps a good Ignatius would be Brian Baumgartner (Kevin from The Office).

Someone mentioned it already but "Blood Meridian" would be my choice. Read that Ridley Scott was going to make it and dropped it.

Can I extend it to video games and say Mass Effect? I have actually read three Mass Effect novels, so I guess it counts.

I think Playing for Pizza by J. Grisham would make a good one too.

Would be interesting.

I would go with Perdido Street Station.

Iron Council would be cool, too.

Nothing wrong with that.

The Hyperion Cantos, by Dan Simmons would be epic.

Heard rumors it was in production.
