What book would it be?

Mine would be lord of the flies. If I had enough talent and money this would definitely be my passion project.

Btw I have yet to see the original films

The Lock Artist by Steve Hamilton

It actually has a lot in common with Drive. The big difference is that the lead character is mute in The Lock Artist but you can certainly work your way around that problem with voice-over narration and other creative techniques.

I'd make the Navidson Record from House of Leaves.

exactly what I was going to post. Danielewski is supposedly super stingy with the rights though. has been offered millions of dollars by studios but hasn't signed on the dotted line.

Juliet, Naked - Nick Hornby

High Fidelity is my favorite novel/film combo, and I think that Juliet is on the same quality level as Fidelity. Could be a great film if Hornby gets involved with the script and production.

Asimov's Foundation Series

Zelazny's Amber Series.

Especially Amber. I think the world is ready for the antihero that is Corwin.

For novels that haven't been made or are about to be made into film I'd say Altered Carbon by Richard Morgan. Zelazny's Amber books as mentioned would be pretty awesome as well. The Lies of Locke Lamora would make an excellent film as well.

For TV I'd really like to see the Dresden Files done well on HBO.

This.
I'd probably make Only Revolutions too.

And Riddley Walker. Would be fun to play with language.

The Moat in God's Eye.

I could do this for a long time ha.

You beat me to it. I have long thought about how great that series would be on the silver screen.

You just gonna do the one book or both the Mote in God's Eye and the Gripping Hand?
