Denzel, Hanks or Damon

Three great actors with a great list of movies

I agree with you: Hanks is a great choice

to me it would have to be someone that does comedy and serious.

it's crazy i don't care for nicolas cage.. yet he's in so many movies there are bound to be some hits mixed it.. i'm tempted to pick him here, altho it's not so much about him..

still have to think this one over tho.

Fast Times at Ridgemont High
Valley Girl
Raising Arizona
Wild at Heart
The Rock
Con Air
Face Off
City of Angels
Gone in 60 Seconds
The Family Man
Adaptation
Grindhouse
Kick arse

and then a whole bunch of BS action crap. and on top of that he's still just pumping em out left n right.

Mickey Rooney has been in 320 movies, but I'm guessing most of those are things I wouldn't want to see. But, still 320 is a crazy # of movies.

ETA: I thought he was dead, but apparently IMDB has him listed as pre production on a 2013 movie, so I guess he isn't

Not my favorite actor by a long shot, but he has some entertaining movies...Tom Cruise...

Top Gun
Risky Business
All the Right Moves
Taps
Days of Thunder
Far and Away
Interview with the Vampire
Born on the 4th of July (his best work)
Cocktail
Rain Man
Jerry McGuire
Minority Report
Mission IMpossible (all of them)
Magnolia
Tropic Thunder
The Firm
Vanilla Sky

I'm sure I left out a few other good ones, but its a varied and pretty good set of movies over nearly 30 years of work.

Was thinking maybe Bill Paxton, since he has that whole Alien/Terminator/Predator thing.

Aliens
Terminator
Predator 2
Apollo 13
Weird Science
True Lies
Tombstone
Frailty

I'd probably end up going with somebody with a bigger catalog like Robert Duvall though.

I'm going with John Wayne. Huge catalog and mostly entertaining. I know most of his roles are similar and just have a different setting bit I do find them entertaining.

Harry Dean Stanton.

Been in a lot of movies and rarely the lead. Wouldn't get sick of seeing him on screen.

Other than that. Clint.

Surprised with how many different answers there has been.

Pacino

Yeesh. He's got a small catalog and only a handful of good films IMO. Go deniro if you like gangster.

William H Macy or Terrence Howard.

They've been in just about every movie.
