Idol question....

Why are all the judges so far up Adams arse? They always tell other contestants when they are being over indulgent and that is all Adam does. The kid has range but he sounds like he is singing at his own briss. I would have voted him off by now. IMHO

They picked Adam from the beginning to be their golden boy and he can do no wrong. He would get up there and sing Puff the Magic Dragon and they would rave about how innovative it was and how he's a genius...blah blah blah.

his voice is amazing and he is clearly the best singer. i would actually see him in concert and buy his album.
side note (and not accusing anyone), does this hate of Adam stem from the fact that he likes men? i mean, if pics were leeked where he was making out with random girls would the people on this forum like him more? i vote yes

For what it's worth, I didn't know Adam was gay until about 3-4 weeks ago. I don't care that he's gay.
I also don't feel he's deserving of all this adulation heaped on him, though--he finishes every song with a screech, which takes no talent at all.
I think we've got some producers on AI who are telling the judges to push Adam, because they've already decided they want him to win.

I don't care for him either...I totally agree that the judges praise him for things and then the other contestants can do the same thing and they get drilled for it!
I started a thread I think last week about him, but most people seem to like him. I for one do not. He does good singing slow songs, and then as soon as he starts that screechy screaming crap, it goes down hill for me.
I have came to the conclusion that if you like rock, you like him. It's all your preference on music.

I don't like the screaming. Just not a fan of his voice.

I have a sneaking suspicion that if Adam looked like Chris Daughtry but had the same voice there would be a lot of different opinions of him. He CLEARLY has the best voice. As for his "screaming" it is actually a range that's damn near impossible to hit. A few that come to mind are Steven Tyler, Freddy Mercury, Axel Rose and Sebastian Bach. Bach actually played Jesus in Jesus Christ Superstar on Broadway. Anyone who has ever seen or at least heard the original knows that Ian Gillan had an amazing voice. He was highly praised for those "screams" I hear people bitching about with Adam.

Am I the only one that get annoyed by the face of that Latino chick Allison?
I don't like her and they dote on her ad nauseum.
I like the guy that sang "She works hard for the money" last night. He and the funny looking dude that sang September from Earth Wind...are really good.
Also, can't stand Anoop! He an sing, but come on...and the eybrows look like caterpillars on roids!

I think he is talented but I am starting to not like him due to the judges fawning over him... he's like the freaking teacher's pet. And I really don't understand/like the screaming.
And I'm biased, but I think Kris will do the best out of all of them no matter who wins.

Aerosmith is going back on tour this summer. Take a look at how fast they sell out and tell me someone like them wouldn't make it big these days. The problem with "these days" to begin with is the complete GARBAGE that is put out mainstream. Now, I'm sure Adam will fall into that same trap but he at least has the potential to be something other than a one-hit wonder pop-star.
