I loved the book (For me to read a book in 1.5 days it has to be good.)

Hated the movie. Saw it on a school field trip. Everybody else loved it but for whatever reason I hated it.

It was so dumb and that guy from the Footloose remake is just as bad, yep can't believe I watched the Footloose remake either

Haven't seen Divergent but Miles Teller was great in Whiplash.

As for Shailene Woodley, she wasn't too bad in The Descendants. Haven't seen anything else of her though.

I thought the first one was bad. I felt like a I needed to take notes to follow what the hell was going on with all this faction dauntless verbiage being thrown out there as if i read the book.

I thought i'd suck it up and do something nice for the wife and go see the second one with her. Was hoping it would explain more and get a little better. That movie was absolutely terrible. Just terrible. Terrible acting, terrible story, the girl isn't' that hot, has no arse, no tits, and looks like a boy with her short hair. Her fighting skills are that of a 12 year old girl, yet she's some kind of savior. I've had enough of the heroine movies.

I don't know where this movie is going, or what it is leading up to, but i sure as hell won't be watching it to figure it out.

I don't like the premise of The Hunger Games, and didn't really like the first one, but i'm coming around to it and have liked the journey and want to actually see the last one. The acting, how the story is told, and directing of the movie are good enough to keep me interested. I also know and like how Jennifer Lawrence looks naked.

Divergent is terrible and should cut their losses and not make the next two movies.

So much better than Hunger Games. Not as good as Maze Runner.

Dude CoR is fricking awesome. Way better than pitch black and riddick

Woah now. CoR is awesome, but Pitch Black is better, and Riddick is actually a bit like Alien 3, highly underrated and Misunderstood, and completely different from the other two films.

It was on in a recent hotel stay, so I worked and kept it running.

That was a mistake. Most films that I'm not interested in I can leave on, check into every now and again or listen and I'm fine. I found myself constantly saying "WTF?" to the dialog, situations, verbage. Just a weirdly bad movie. And the action sequences were awful.

I'm no big fan of Hunger Games, but it blows Divergent out of the water.

Dude, it's a good movie.

I don't mind the occasional chick flick.

In no way is it a good movie. The story about him being old and retelling his Alzheimer-stricken wife the story is admittedly touching, but the actual story itself is insane. He is a psychopathic maniac. She is a complete flake who pretty much dumps the "perfect guy" to be with him. They didn't even try to make that other guy seem like he was anything but perfect for her. They didn't try to give him flaws or make anything seem awkward, they just made sure that she had an endless amount of fricks to give for ryan gosling for 10 minutes at a time every 5 or 10 years. That poor sap.

The movie is bad and you should feel bad. I like some chick flicks, but "The Notebook" is just bad storytelling.

List of dude approved chick flicks:
"Intolerable Cruelty"
"America's Sweethearts"
"About Time"
"Love Actually"
"When Harry Met Sally"
That's about it.

It's not quite as "Katniss Centered" as the others and she's more pissed than anything for the majority of the movie.

I should probably clarify, the movie takes place in the world at large as opposed to the arena. Katniss is definitely still the star, but her actions have real consequences for more than just her.

The writers for this one and the next one also wrote Recount, Game Change, Empire, and The Town
